President-elect Donald Trump is projected to win all seven swing states as Decision Desk HQ has called Nevada and Arizona.
Trump’s total electoral college count is 312, well over the needed 270.
The Republican Party of Arizona shared the news on social media, thanking Trump for “stepping back into the ring.”
“You never gave up on us, and we will never give up on you,” the Arizona GOP wrote. “Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. Let the Golden Age begin!”
Similarly, the Nevada GOP wrote, “HUGE Victory for our State & Nation!”
“It’s been 20 years since we’ve elected a Republican President from the Silver State. Now, President Trump is headed back to the White House to Make America Great Again!”
Elon Musk called the election a “massive red wave success!” He added that it was “beyond a landslide.”
Republicans now have the presidency, the popular vote, and majorities in the Senate and state governors. The GOP will also likely maintain the majority in the House of Representatives after close races are called.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) told Fox News that “California’s the main state still” for House races. “You know, in a lot of those close races, our incumbents are leading the way – by small margins, but we knew there would be small margins.”
“We also have some seats that we have a chance to flip that are leaning our way, too. So, you know, we’re watching all of them, and they’re coming down the wire. But I think we’ll know by [Thursday], hopefully,” he said, adding, “It appears we’re going to hold the House and flip the Senate. You know, it’s going to be a rare opportunity within any government to really focus in January on turning this country around.”
