Trump White House Flag Poles Set to Soar 100 Feet High

President Donald Trump announced plans Wednesday to install two massive American flag poles—each nearly 100 feet tall—on the White House’s North and South Lawns. Trump himself will cover the costs for the patriotic addition, according to Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino.

The president was seen surveying the North Lawn, searching for the best spot for the installation. When asked by a reporter what he was doing, Trump replied, “Beautiful flag pole for the American flag.” He later held an impromptu press conference to elaborate.

“They’ve needed flag poles for 200 years,” Trump said. “It was something I’ve often said, ‘You know, they don’t have a flag pole per se,’ so we’re putting one right where you saw us, and we’re putting another one on the other side, on top of the mounds. It’s going to be two beautiful poles. Paid for by Trump.”

The announcement is part of a broader wave of personal touches President Trump has brought back to the White House since his return. The Oval Office now features gold-framed portraits, gilded trimmings, and gold vases adorning the fireplace mantel. The entrance to the Oval prominently displays the New York Post’s front page featuring Trump’s widely recognized mugshot.

Trump has also made changes to the South Lawn. Earlier this month, he planted a Magnolia sapling, a direct descendant of the historic tree planted by President Andrew Jackson. The original Jackson Magnolia was removed this year due to safety concerns.

With these visible and symbolic moves, Trump continues to reinforce a vision of presidential strength, national pride, and historical continuity—all key pillars of his leadership style.
