During a recent rally held at the North Carolina Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame in Asheboro, former President Donald Trump voiced his intentions to purge the military of leaders who have advocated for progressive measures should he returns to the presidency.
This declaration was made amidst his first outdoor speaking event since an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a bullet hit him during a speech.
Behind bulletproof protection, Trump expressed his plans to expel elements of progressivism from the armed forces, cautioning against the election of Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he blames for the military’s shift towards what he calls radical policies.
“Under ‘Comrade Kamala,’ our military has been abused for radical social experiments,” Trump articulated. “On day one, I will get Critical Race Theory and transgender insanity out of our U.S. Armed Forces. We’re taking it out. Our warriors should be focused on defeating America’s enemies, not figuring out their genders.”
He criticized the infiltration of “Marxist ideologies” into military practices: “Marxist ideologies have no place in combat. We want them to know their gender when they go in. You have no idea the disruption that that has caused and the fake news refuses to report it.”
The event also served as a platform for Trump to criticize initiatives related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and LGBT inclusivity within the military, which he plans to halt if elected.
“If you want to have a sex change or a social justice seminar, then you can do it somewhere else, but you’re not going to do it in the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Space Force, or the United States Marines,” he stated. Trump assured that the military officials leading these initiatives would be swiftly removed from their positions.
Moreover, Trump confirmed his intent to request the immediate resignation of senior military officials involved in the mishandling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan upon his potential inauguration, referencing the tragic outcomes of the operation, including the loss of American equipment to the Taliban and the death of American troops.
Trump emphasized that the elections would bring accountability for Harris and President Joe Biden, highlighting the critical importance of states like North Carolina, which he won in previous elections, for future political battles.
