Trump Pledges to Reinstate Border Policies, Tackle Cartels

Former President Donald J. Trump outlined his plan to reclaim America’s southern border and battle the influence of dangerous cartels in a recent press release issued by his campaign.

He accuses the current administration, under President Joe Biden, of surrendering control of the border to these criminal entities, which he believes has put American communities at risk.

“President Trump will sign an executive order ending automatic citizenship for the children of illegal aliens,” the press release stated, indicating a major shift in the policy direction that was followed during the Biden era.

President Trump has also expressed his intentions to bring back his own border policies.

These include “safe third agreements, Remain in Mexico, asylum bans, building more border wall, and prosecuting illegal Aliens,” on his very first day in office, if elected.

The press release criticized the Biden administration’s approach to border management, stating, “The U.S. Border Patrol has reported three times as many illegal border crossings under Joe Biden than took place under President Trump.”

Furthermore, it is claimed that Biden has “encouraged unending migration” and pointed out that on January 5, Biden had “announced unilateral executive mass amnesty and work permits for 30,000 new illegals every month before they even reach our borders.”

The press release links the border crisis to a surge in drug-related problems in the U.S., highlighting that in “Joe Biden’s America, 300 people are poisoned with fentanyl each day.”

This comes amid reports of record amounts of fentanyl entering the country through ports of entry and illegal border crossings under Biden’s watch.

The press release also addresses potential threats to national security, noting that “at least 98 known or suspected terrorists attempted to cross the southern border in 2022.”

According to the press release, President Trump plans to restore the integrity of the southern border by reinstating his earlier policies.

He has committed to “shut down Biden’s border disaster. He will again end catch-and-release, restore Remain in Mexico, and eliminate asylum fraud.”

The focus of Trump’s campaign also seems to involve a concerted effort to dismantle drug cartels.

“President Trump’s plan to secure the border includes a commitment to declare war and defeat the cartels, just as President Trump did with ISIS,” the statement asserts.

It further details how he intends to do this, stating, “President Trump has pledged to designate the dangerous cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, to curb their access to global financial systems.”

Finally, the release noted that Trump has vowed to “work with Congress to pass legislation that ensures drug smugglers and human traffickers receive the death penalty,” signaling a hardline stance on these issues.
