- In 2019, Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) introduced a resolution calling for the designation of Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization.
- In a recent Instagram post, Thomas can be seen wearing an all-black outfit with a leather harness and shirt that reads “Antifa Super Soldier.”
- The term “Trantifa” has been coined by its supporters who have recently turned to violence against anyone who opposes transgender ideology, saying those who disagree should be silenced or harmed.

NCAA SWIMMER RILEY GAINES ON LIA THOMAS’ RECENT APPEARANCE IN AN ANTIFA SHIRT:
“Doesn’t this make so much sense,” Gaines said. “I haven’t specifically bashed Lia Thomas on anything (other than calling him an entitled narcissist which I stand by) because ultimately he was following the rules in place. But this is disturbing.”
BACKGROUND:
- In July 2022, Thomas was nominated for the NCAAâs Woman of the Year Award, among 577 athletes up for the recognition.
- âEstablished in 1991, the award recognizes female student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves in their community, in athletics and in academics throughout their college careers,â a release from the NCAA read at the time.
- âAs 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the NCAA Woman of the Year program is an important opportunity to honor and reflect on the impact of women on intercollegiate sports.â
- A myriad of athletes, including Thomasâs own teammates, have spoken out against the transgender student-athleteâs domination of women.
- âYou can tell he is mentally ill,â one teammate said. âI saw the video and was so disgusted.â
- âLia identified as a woman, but she is not a female,â she added. âThat is a fact. It doesnât matter how you feel.â
- Thomas, who took a spot from a biological female on the University of Pennsylvania’s women’s team, claimed, âIâm a woman, so I belong on the womenâs team. Trans people deserve that same respect every other athlete gets.â
