Two-month-old Diana Sofia de Los Santos was discovered unconscious in the back of the car.
Diana was unconscious when a family member found her in the car on June 13 just before 12:30 am, according to the Daily Mail. After contacting first responders, she was transported to the adjacent Sharp Grossmont Hospital. A short while after, Diana was declared dead.
She had been left in the car for several hours, it was later discovered. It was well over 100F inside, even though the outside temperature was just about 63F.
