Relatives of Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) have come out in support of Donald Trump.
An image circulating on social media shows the relatives of the Democratic presidential running-mate wearing shirts reading, “Nebraska Walz’s for Trump.”
Those featured in the photo are related to Walz through his grandfather’s brother, according to The Daily Mail.
Walz’s older brother, Jeff Walz, has also been outspoken against the Minnesota Governor.
When asked on Facebook to “Get on stage with President Trump and endorse him,” Walz said, “I’ve thought long and hard about doing something like that! I’m torn between that and just keeping my family out of it.”
He added, “The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.”
Jeff Walz also noted that he is “100% opposed” to his brother’s ideology. “My family wasn’t given any notice that he was selected and denied security the days after.”
