Texas Investigating Dominion Voting Systems

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has opened a criminal investigation into Dominion Voting Systems, a statement from a Michigan sheriff revealed.

“The Barry County Sheriff’s Office has an ongoing investigation into election related crimes since December 2020,” a statement from Sheriff Dar Leaf says, noting that the Michigan office “has made referrals for criminal ingestion to the Texas Attorney General’s Office.”

Paxton has since “opened a criminal investigation related to Dominion Voting Systems, Election Systems & Software (ES&S), Hart InterCivic, and SolarWinds, including specific subcontractors, agents, and employees,” the statement continues.

“The Barry County Sheriff’s Office will continue to collaborate and assist the Texas Attorney General with its ongoing investigation,” Leaf wrote.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson recently said that some of its voting systems are experiencing issues.

The machines have an issue with the “straight party voting and a programming issue that’s affected the machines nationwide,” Benson said.

“And I think all of us that used Dominion machines were unhappy to learn about this during the testing period and as early voting began,” she continued. “So we’re working with Dominion to seek accountability on that front. And also are working with our clerks to ensure voters are aware of this programming issue that will require them to ensure they are voting every section on the ballot.”
