- “So today, my Administration is announcing our plan to expand health coverage for DACA recipients by allowing them to enroll in a plan through the Affordable Care Act or through Medicaid,” he continues. “Health care should be a right, not a privilege.”
BACKGROUND:
- California has been the first and only state in the U.S. to provide free healthcare to illegal residents.
- While the measure was signed in 2022, the plan is set to begin in 2024, costing Californians over $2 billion annually.
