The family of Karmelo Anthony, a Texas teen charged with the fatal stabbing of fellow student Austin Metcalf, has admitted to using $400,000 from a defense fund to purchase a new home and install security features. The money was raised through the Christian crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo, launched shortly after Anthony’s arrest in early April.
