Soros Group Blocks Trump Deportations of Criminals

A Soros-backed group is using the courts to block President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport violent criminal illegal aliens to South Sudan. Human Rights First, which has received millions from George and Alexander Soros’s Open Society Foundations, is spearheading a lawsuit that has tied the Trump administration’s hands in removing illegal alien criminals from the U.S.

Human Rights First joined two other organizations in suing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in March. The lawsuit argues that a DHS directive allowing the deportation of illegal aliens to non-home countries is unlawful. Backed by Soros’s network—who pumped $6.2 million into Human Rights First from 2016 to 2021—this legal action is part of a broader agenda to undermine U.S. immigration enforcement. In 2021 alone, Human Rights First received over $2.3 million from the Open Society Foundations.

A Biden-appointed federal judge, Brian Murphy, issued a preliminary injunction in April that blocks DHS from deporting illegal aliens to third countries without providing what he calls “adequate notice.” The Trump administration had already deported eight violent illegal aliens to South Sudan—all of whom had final deportation orders and long criminal records, including charges of murder, rape, child sex crimes, and burglary.

Murphy ruled that DHS violated his injunction by proceeding with the deportations and ordered the administration to give the criminals “credible fear interviews.” These rulings, critics argue, not only delay justice but also keep dangerous criminals inside American communities.

The Soros network’s involvement in these cases underscores a larger, organized effort to weaponize the courts against strong border enforcement. Human Rights First has also sued to preserve Joe Biden’s parole pipeline for migrants, further undermining U.S. immigration law.

The case highlights how left-wing activist groups, heavily funded by the Soros network, continue to weaponize the courts to obstruct strong immigration enforcement and protect dangerous criminals from deportation. While President Trump has prioritized securing the border and removing violent offenders, legal maneuvers by Soros-backed organizations undermine these efforts and jeopardize public safety. Critics warn that the continued influence of Soros-funded NGOs in shaping U.S. immigration policy poses a serious threat to national sovereignty, the rule of law, and the safety of American citizens.
