Seattle Journalists Brutally Attacked by Antifa, Local Media Covers It Up

Two independent journalists covering anti‑immigration protests in Seattle and Tukwila report violent assaults by Antifa activists, yet city leaders and major news outlets downplay the chaos. The incidents expose a disturbing trend: far‑left agitators silencing conservative voices while establishment media ignore the truth.

Investigative reporter Cameron Higby was embedded in a downtown Seattle anti‑ICE rally on June 14, 2025. He witnessed rioters stop cars, demand drivers curse ICE, and set vehicles aflame. After taking photos, Higby sat on the sidewalk, dressed in Antifa gear and wearing a gas mask.

Still, he was targeted, pinned against a wall, choked, punched repeatedly with sap gloves containing steel or lead shot, kicked in the face, and left dazed. “If I wasn’t wearing a helmet, I’d probably be dead,” he told Fox News. The beating caused a concussion, nausea, headaches, and a trip to the ER.

In nearby Tukwila the same day, journalist Brandi Kruse was also assaulted. Confederate with Antifa disruption, she faced another violent confrontation. Kruse accused The Seattle Times and Mayor Bruce Harrell of labeling the events as peaceful and blaming police for aggression. Such framing prompted swift criticism from both independent journalists.

“These media outlets absolutely cover for violent left‑wing extremists,” Kruse warned. The Seattle Times’ account emphasized tear gas usage by police, framing the violence as police-instigated, while ignoring the violent actions of masked agitators. Law enforcement confirmed that Higby filed an official police report.

President Trump has repeatedly emphasized the importance of law and order; these attacks illustrate a breakdown when violence goes unreported.
