Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani returned to his show on Wednesday following a battle with pneumonia.
Discussing his hospitalization and coma, he said, as reported by The New York Post, “It is very nice to be back … I’ve been away about a week and a few days. I had pneumonia, I was in the hospital. I’m going to tell you all about it, not all right away.” He added, “I’m in the middle of making a very, very full and complete recovery. Today, I did physical exercise, walked up and down stairs, and walked all around. I feel 100 percent, but I’m probably not.”
Giuliani went on to thank President Trump. “Of course, I have to thank the president, of whom I had a very good conversation after I got into the hospital,” he noted.
President Trump drew attention to the former mayor’s hospitalization on Truth Social earlier this month. “Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior, and the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalized, and is in critical condition,” he wrote. “What a tragedy that he was treated so badly by the Radical Left Lunatics, Democrats ALL — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING! They cheated on the Elections, fabricated hundreds of stories, did anything possible to destroy our Nation, and now, look at Rudy. So sad!”
“Mayor Rudy Giuliani is currently in the hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition,” spokesperson Ted Goodman wrote on X. “Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and he’s fighting with that same level of strength as we speak. We do ask that you join us in prayer for America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani.”
