Ronna McDaniel Considers Legal Action After Being Outsted from NBC

Former Republican National Committee head Ronna McDaniel is considering taking legal action after she was expelled from NBC as a contributor.

McDaniel reportedly spoke with lawyer Bryan Freedman to “discuss legal options even beyond recouping the dollar value of her contract,” according to Politico. Her two-year contract is $600,000.

Freedman previously worked with Megyn Kelly against NBC, as well as Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, and Tucker Carlson against their former networks.

NBC News announced Tuesday that former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has been kicked off the network just days after she had been hired as a contributor.

“There is no doubt that the last several days have been difficult for the News Group. After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor,” NBC News Chairman Cesar Conde said. “No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned. Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal.”

“Our initial decision was made because of our deep commitment to presenting our audiences with a widely diverse set of viewpoints and experiences, particularly during these consequential times.”

Conde added that the network was committed to its “principle that we must have diverse viewpoints on our programs,” and will continue their efforts to “seek voices that represent different parts of the political spectrum.”
