RNC Highlights Contrast: Trump Shines While Biden Isolated with COVID-19

During his speech at the RNC, while Donald Trump was in the spotlight, President Joe Biden was in isolation due to testing positive for COVID-19. His campaign struggles to recover from a poorly received debate, despite Biden’s insistence on being the best Democratic candidate against Trump.

However, pressure mounts for him to withdraw from the race, with significant figures like Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi expressing doubts about his viability. This concern was heightened after Pelosi warned of potential losses in the House and Schumer advised Biden to consider stepping down.

Biden’s campaign faced a major setback after his performance at the debate on June 27, raising concerns about his age and capability. The recent attempt on Trump’s life also rallied support for Trump. Polls show Democrats may be open to Kamala Harris as a potential replacement.

Despite growing concerns and a report from The New York Times suggesting Biden might be reconsidering his candidacy, the campaign remains defiant, with Biden’s advisor reaffirming his position as the Democratic nominee. Biden himself, however, is reported to feel betrayed by the shift within his party, marking a possible crisis point in his reelection efforts.
