Republicans Dominate May Fundraising

The Republican National Committee (RNC) raised more money than the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in the month of May, according to records.

According to FEC records, the RNC raised $30.7 million in May, whereas the DNC raised $22.6. The DNC also spent more than the RNC, $19.4 million to the RNC’s $30.7 million expenditures.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) both raised millions of dollars more than the Democratic committees.

Where the Republican committees raised $25 million, the Democratic committees raised $22.6 million.

The Trump campaign also raised millions of dollars throughout May.

While the Biden reelection campaign raised $85 million in May, Trump raised $141 million.

In the 24 hours following Trump’s May 30 conviction, the Republican candidate raised $53 million. Separately, Trump’s Super PAC raised $69 million.

Trump also raised $12 million during a recent event in San Francisco.

“In 2016, the number of people from Silicon Valley I knew who supported Trump was a sample of one…” Jacob Helberg, an adviser to data analytics provider Palantir, said.

“Today I count them in the dozens, if not more than that. Over the course of the past six months, we’ve started to see the dam break,” Helberg continued.
