Reporter Blasts Psaki Over Hypocrisy on Electric Vehicles

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy challenged White House Press Sec. Jen Psaki Thursday, asking if the President owned an electric vehicle himself after pushing Americans to invest in one.

QUICK FACTS:
  • In the daily press briefing Thursday, Peter Doocy once again proved he’s willing to challenge the Biden administration and ask the questions no other reporters seem to ask.
  • After Biden tweeted that the easy way not to worry about gas prices was to buy an electric vehicle, Doocy asked Psaki about the President’s own personal driving vehicles.
  • “You guys are pushing electric vehicles today… does he own an electric vehicle?” Doocy asked.
  • When Psaki answered that Presidents “don’t do a lot of driving” Doocy immediately brought up the fact that Biden has posted videos “revving the engine of his Corvette in Wilmington.”
PSAKI’S EXCUSE AS TO WHY BIDEN DOESN’T OWN AN EV:

“I think the President record on this is clear, Peter. Presidents.. typically are not doing a lot of driving.”

BACKGROUND:
  • Doocy also questioned Psaki on the inflation issue, asking how long the administration meant by temporary, a term they have been using for over a year.
  • “We just heard you say… you think inflation is going to be temporary. We’ve heard you say that since last spring, so how long do you guys think temporary is?” Doocy said.
  • Psaki’s only response was that Biden’s staff relied on assessments of the Fed and “outside economic analysts.”
