Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) dropped new documents exposing Dr. Anthony Fauci’s relationship with the national security community.
“Chairman Rand Paul is releasing new documents from the Committee’s ongoing investigation which reveal Dr. Anthony Fauci’s deep connections to the national security apparatus, which positioned him to influence the COVID-19 origins debate across the scientific community, the intelligence community, and the public,” a document released by Paul reads.
According to a timeline produced by Paul, Fauci’s feedback on SARS was included in a National Intelligence Council paper in 2003. That November, he received a CIA report titled, “The Darker Bioweapons Future,” which warned that pathogens could be genetically engineered to have greater risks. These events signify Fauci’s link to the national security and intelligence communities.
Nearly two decades later, Fauci’s links to such communities allowed him to “steer the early COVID-19 origins debate through NIAID-funded experts,” the timeline argues. In March 2020, Nature Medicine published “The Proximal Origin of SARS-COV-2,” which concluded that COVID-19 was “not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus.”
Fauci later had access to classified briefings and was brought into meetings “so sensitive it required onetime read-ins ‘through two [Intelligence Community] agencies’ for roughly nine compartments.”
In 2023, American Faith reported that the then-Chairman of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, former Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), released an interim report detailing that the report skewed the available evidence to align with a narrative as envisioned by Fauci.
Paul recently held a Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee hearing on Wednesday featuring a CIA whistleblower who testified under oath that Fauci was involved in the COVID-19 cover-up.
Whistleblower James Erdman III told the committee that intelligence community leaders and analysts “downplayed the possibility that the COVID pandemic originated as a result of a lab incident.”
“Dr. Fauci’s role in the cover-up was intentional,” he declared. “Dr. Fauci influenced the analytical process and findings by leveraging his position to ensure the IC consulted with a conflicted list of curated subject matter experts, public health officials, and scientists.” Those involved with Fauci’s cover-up include “public health experts who have been in his orbit for the last twenty-plus years.”
