‘A Is For Abortion,’ Included in Women’s History Month Display at VA High School

West Springfield High School in Fairfax County, Virginia, has come under scrutiny for a Women’s History Month display titled “The ABCs to ME,” featuring terms such as “A is for Abortion,” “T is for Trans Women,” and “Q is for Queer.”

The display, adorned in the school’s colors, includes a sign reading “A is for Abortion,” accompanied by an image of a coat hanger and a positive pregnancy test.

Other letters highlight contemporary social and political themes, including “H is for Hope,” featuring Vice President Kamala Harris; “J is for Justice,” depicting the Statue of Liberty alongside the Palestinian, Ukrainian, and transgender flags; and “L is for Leadership,” showcasing figures like Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Michelle Obama.

The display has elicited mixed reactions from the school community. Some parents have expressed concern over the content, deeming it inappropriate for a public school setting. One parent commented saying, “This is horrible even by Fairfax County Public Schools’ standards.”

As schools commemorate Women’s History Month, the balance between celebrating women’s contributions and addressing contemporary issues continues to be a focal point of discussion.

This incident highlights the growing push to inject progressive ideology into public education, often without parental consent. Many parents argue that schools should focus on core subjects like math, science, and history rather than promoting divisive political agendas.

The display at West Springfield High School is just the latest example of how far-left activism is influencing curriculum and classroom discussions. As parents demand more oversight and accountability, the debate over ideological indoctrination in schools will remain a key battleground in the fight for the future of American education.
