Piers Morgan Trans Athletes Debate, Clashes With Carville

British host Piers Morgan confronted Democratic strategist James Carville on Friday after Carville dismissed concerns over biological males competing in women’s sports. Carville, who has previously claimed he doesn’t “give a [expletive]” about the issue, reiterated that he sees it as insignificant compared to other political concerns.

“You know what I say about that and what you should say? If you’re concerned about the state track meet, please do something about it,” Carville stated on Piers Morgan Uncensored. “But if you’re more concerned about bathroom stalls, then hang out in bathrooms. This is not a concern to me. I’m worried about the cost of living. I’m worried about access to healthcare.”

Morgan interrupted to challenge Carville’s stance, arguing that the issue played a larger role in the 2024 election than many Democrats acknowledge. “A lot of Democrats have tried to say to me, ‘It didn’t really matter, the trans stuff and the woke stuff,’ and I keep saying, I think it matters more than you think,” Morgan said.

Morgan pointed out that former Vice President Kamala Harris’ support for biological males in women’s sports hurt her in the election against President Donald Trump. He cited a top Harris super PAC’s internal estimate that 2.7% of voters shifted toward Trump after hearing radio host Charlamagne Tha God criticize Harris’ stance on taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners. Charlamagne previously called transgender athlete policies “a losing talking point” for Democrats.

Polling supports Morgan’s argument. A New York Times/Ipsos survey from January found that nearly 80% of Americans oppose allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports.
