Peter Navarro Claims ‘Trump Got Lied To’ About COVID Vaccines

Big Pharma made Trump “think that it was a true vaccine when it’s not.”

QUICK FACTS:
  • Former Trump advisor Peter Navarro spoke with Patrick Bet-David on the PBD Podcast, asserting that Trump was “lied to” by Fauci and big pharmaceutical organizations (“Big Pharma”) over the components of the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Navarro noted that upon first meeting Fauci in early 2020, he perceived that the doctor believed himself to be “a whole lot smarter than he is,” adding that Fauci was “arrogant.”
  • After failing to reach a consensus with Fauci and the former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Robert Redfield, instead engaging in a “shouting match,” Navarro wrote a memo to a task force detailing the physical and economic dangers of the virus.
  • Fauci “knew for a fact that virus came from the Wuhan lab,” Navarro explained.
  • Navarro went on to detail how Fauci had “funded the gain-of-function research in that lab and he had already begun to design a coverup, and we know that from the emails he sent to a group of researchers and academics, trying to get their support to push that ‘come from nature’ theory.”
  • If Fauci had admitted the virus came from a lab, “we could have pressured the Chinese to give us the genome sequence which would have allowed us to design an effective vaccine rather than the crap we wound up getting,” Navarro said.
  • “Trump got lied to about that, not just by Fauci but by Pfizer,” Navarro stated, noting the drug company “didn’t disclose the side effects” of the COVID vaccine.
  • Navarro went on tp say that Pfizer and Fauci “weren’t clear” with Trump, making him feel as though “it was a true vaccine when it’s not.”
PETER NAVARRO’S 2020 MEMO:
  • “The lack of immune protection or an existing cure or vaccine would leave Americans defenseless in the case of a full-blown coronavirus outbreak on U.S. soil,” Navarro’s memo read.
  • “This lack of protection elevates the risk of the coronavirus evolving into a full-blown pandemic, imperiling the lives of millions of Americans.”
  • Axios reported that an official receiving the 2020 memo originally seemed to be “an alarmist attempt to bring attention to Peter’s anti-China agenda while presenting an artificially limited range of policy options.”
  • “The supplemental memo lacked any basis for its projections, which led some staff to worry that it could needlessly rattle markets and may not direct funding where it was truly needed,” the official added.
  • Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon noted the original memo, and another from February 2020, were “prophetic,” stating that Navarro wrote out his fears due to a “total blockage to get these facts in front of the President of the United States.”
BACKGROUND:
  • According to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), House Republicans are “laying the foundation” for a criminal case against Fauci.
  • Journalist Benny Johnson told Jordan, “There seems like there has never been a more clear-cut case of some individual lying to Congress,” referring to Fauci repeatedly lying about gain-of-function research.
  • “I do think Dr. Fauci and the CDC changed the definition of gain-of-function research, so that Fauci has, like, this wiggle room, but they were juicing up this virus, no doubt about it, juicing up this virus, making it more…deadly, I guess is the correct word,” the Ohio representative responded.
