The FBI thwarted a “potential terrorist attack” in Michigan allegedly plotting an attack over the weekend.

“This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement. “More details to come. Thanks to the men and women of FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and crushing our mission to defend the homeland.”

White House counterterrorism adviser Sebastian Gorka confirmed the development, stating that federal agents “successfully disrupted a Jihadi terror plot in Detroit timed for Halloween when innocent children should be enjoying themselves Trick or Treating.”

“The threat is real,” Gorka noted. “Thank you to our brave FBI agents and the incredible work of the quiet professionals of the Intelligence Community who made today’s arrests possible.”

The Associated Press reports that FBI and state police vehicles were seen in a neighborhood near Fordson High School in Dearborn, Michigan. Agents walked in and out of a house, with one individual collecting materials from an evidence truck.

In May, the Justice Department arrested a former member of the Michigan Army National Guard, Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said, after he attempted to carry out a plan to conduct a mass-shooting event at a U.S. military base.

The complaint on the matter says Said “informed two undercover law enforcement officers of a plan he had devised and formulated to conduct a mass-shooting at the U.S. Army’s Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) facility at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan.”

The two undercover officers suggested they were going to carry out the plan, prompting Said to provide material assistance, including “armor-piercing ammunition and magazines for the attack, flying his drone over TACOM to conduct operational reconnaissance, training the undercover employees on firearms and the construction of Molotov cocktails for use during the attack, and planning numerous details of the attack including how to enter TACOM and which building to target.”

Democrat Maryland State Senator’s Shocking Blackmail Plot Exposed

Federal prosecutors have charged Maryland State Sen. Dalya Attar in a disturbing blackmail scandal involving an alleged plot to secretly film and threaten two of her political critics. The newly unsealed indictment accuses Attar, her brother Joseph “Yossi” Attar, and Baltimore Police Officer Kalman Finkelstein of using hidden cameras to record an intimate encounter and then leveraging the footage to silence dissent.

According to the 20-page indictment, the trio face charges of conspiracy, extortion, illegal wiretapping, and violations of the Travel Act. Prosecutors allege Attar targeted a former campaign consultant, identified as Victim 1, who had supported her political rivals after working on her 2018 campaign. Victim 2, who was romantically involved with Victim 1 and married at the time, was also targeted.

Investigators say the defendants planted hidden cameras disguised as smoke detectors and installed a tracking device in the victims’ apartment. The footage, later reviewed by the group, allegedly captured the pair in bed together. Prosecutors claim Attar then sought to use the recording as leverage, saying in a WhatsApp message, “We have a very easy … simple way to get her to just shut up and leave us alone. … She’s worried about her kids’ shidduchim.”

Attar allegedly added, “I’m not saying we leak this anywhere or ever do that … but I’m saying we warn her … ‘If you go ahead and screw with me, we’re going to leak it.’” Prosecutors say her brother later confronted one of the victims, threatening, “I have hours of footage of you in bed … I’ll share this video with everyone you know.”

Authorities say the intimidation campaign continued through 2022, aimed at protecting Attar’s political career. Attar’s office declined to comment. The charges carry potential sentences totaling several decades in prison.

Gates, Ford & Rockefeller Funds Tied to China’s Communist Regime

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) launched investigations into the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Ford Foundation for their funding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and linked groups.

“According to recent reports, [the organizations], through grants and direct payments, have funded the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its allies,” Grassley wrote. “I am writing today to ask you whether these reports are true or not and, if true, how your organization’s conduct comports with 501(c)(3) requirements.”

“In order to maintain tax-exempt status, an organization’s activities must be charitable in nature and may not directly support or promote the interests of a foreign government,” the letters to the entities add, further stating that under IRS guidance, “private foundations ‘can distribute funds to foreign organizations to conduct activities outside of the United States, but must follow special rules when dealing with foreign organizations to avoid the excise taxes under Section 4942 and Section 4945.'”

Grassley’s office explained that the Gates Foundation provided millions of dollars to the CCP, as well as $2 million to a “corporation working with the Chinese military and $6.7 million to state-run Chinese universities” in 2023. Similarly, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund donated $7.4 million to organizations that were connected to the CCP. The Ford Foundation engaged in the same activities, providing nearly $10 million to the CCP in support of the Belt and Road Initiative.

A Gates Foundation spokesperson told the National Review that it “complies with all laws governing our charitable work and tax-exempt status. Guided by the belief that every life has equal value, the foundation works to help all people lead healthy, productive lives.”

The Ford Foundation noted to the outlet that its “grants in China are intended to reduce poverty and injustice, strengthen democratic values, promote international cooperation, and advance human achievement—these are fundamental American values and priorities.”

Trump Agency Launches Massive Medicaid Crackdown on Illegal Immigrant Spending

The Trump administration has launched a Medicaid crackdown targeting more than $1 billion in federal funds it says were improperly used by Democrat-led states to provide healthcare for illegal immigrants, including some with violent criminal records. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said California, Illinois, Washington, D.C., Washington, Colorado, and Oregon collectively misspent $1,351,204,127 in federal Medicaid dollars between 2024 and 2025.

CMS officials said federal law prohibits Medicaid funds from being used for illegal immigrants, except for emergency medical treatment. However, the agency found that several blue states used complex accounting methods to extend broader health coverage. “Protecting Medicaid from waste, fraud and abuse isn’t optional. It’s the law. Every dollar misspent on illegal healthcare spending is a dollar taken from vulnerable Americans,” CMS spokesperson Emily Hilliard said. She added that “the Trump administration won’t tolerate it. CMS is auditing aggressively, recovering every dollar and holding states accountable.”

California was the largest violator, with over $1 billion in federal Medicaid money allegedly used for illegal immigrant healthcare. Illinois followed with nearly $30 million, and Oregon with $5.5 million. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office denied the findings, calling Republican claims “false.”

Public policy expert Chris Pope of the Manhattan Institute said states are manipulating federal provisions. “Medicaid is by far the largest source of federal funding for states… states have figured out how to game the system,” Pope said.

Acting CDC Director Jim O’Neill highlighted that some funds even benefited violent offenders. His “MorningMedicaidMugshot” campaign spotlighted cases including a convicted killer and a child sex offender receiving taxpayer-funded medical care.

Meta Stock Tanks After AI Spending Bombshell

Meta is diving headfirst into the AI arms race, and Wall Street isn’t thrilled. Despite reporting record third-quarter revenue of $51.2 billion—a 26% jump from the previous year—Meta’s stock plunged over 10% in early trading as the company warned of rapidly accelerating capital expenditures related to artificial intelligence.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg told investors that Meta is ramping up spending to stay competitive in the development of “superintelligence”—AI that could eventually surpass human capabilities. He acknowledged that the timeline for such breakthroughs is uncertain but insisted that Meta’s position will be strategic whether AI advances rapidly or slowly. Zuckerberg said the investment is “extremely high upside” across existing platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, noting that AI-powered recommendations have already boosted user engagement. Video remains a key growth area, with Instagram video views up over 30% year-over-year and Reels generating over $50 billion in annualized revenue.

However, the optimism didn’t calm investor nerves. A surprise $15.9 billion one-time tax charge—related to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act—slashed net income to $2.7 billion, far below analyst expectations. This tax adjustment, combined with vague timelines on when AI investments will produce returns, triggered skepticism from market analysts. Portfolio manager Brian Mulberry, whose firm holds Meta shares, said he’s cautious about expanding that position until Meta offers more transparency on the payoff timeline.

Adding to the confusion, Meta laid off about 600 employees from its AI division just last week, despite recently rebranding the unit, hiring top talent, and acquiring nearly half of Scale AI, a data-labeling firm. While the layoffs didn’t hit the team focused on superintelligence, they raised questions about internal consistency in Meta’s AI strategy.

In its earnings release, Meta claimed it is well-positioned to enhance its current services and roll out new AI-driven features that will “transform how people engage” with its platforms. The company believes these investments will fuel strong revenue growth by 2026. But for now, Wall Street appears wary of the risks tied to chasing AI dominance while burning billions in the process.

Obamacare Premium Hike Isn’t What Democrats Claim

New research shows that expiring Biden-era Obamacare subsidies are having only a minimal effect on 2026 health insurance premiums—contradicting Democrat claims that the loss of these credits is fueling major price spikes. According to the Paragon Health Institute, the expiration of the enhanced subsidies accounts for only about 4% of the expected 20% average premium increase next year, far from the crisis Democrats have warned about.

Democrats have shut down the government while demanding an extension of these enhanced Obamacare tax credits, first created under President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan and later extended through the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. Their argument centers on the claim that without these enhanced subsidies, millions will see dramatic jumps in their health insurance costs. However, the latest analysis suggests that the overwhelming majority of next year’s premium hikes stem from structural flaws in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) itself and rising health care costs—not from the expiration of Biden’s COVID-era subsidies.

The Paragon Health Institute’s data projects that the 2025 benchmark premium for the average ACA enrollee—roughly $8,326 for a 50-year-old earning 200% of the federal poverty level—will rise to $9,991 in 2026. Of that $1,665 increase, only $333 can be attributed to the expiring Biden-era credits, while the remaining $1,332 results from inflation, higher medical utilization, and industry consolidation. Insurers also cite steeply rising costs for drugs such as GLP-1 weight-loss medications, specialty biologics, and gene therapies.

Gabrielle Kalisz, a program manager at Paragon, noted that under the Biden-era credits, the federal government paid about 93% of the typical enrollee’s premium. Even after those subsidies expire, taxpayers will still shoulder more than 80% of premium costs through standard ACA subsidies. “Taxpayers, not consumers, will remain the overwhelming source of revenue for insurers selling ACA exchange plans,” Kalisz said.

Brian Blase, a former senior Trump administration official and president of Paragon, emphasized that premiums have skyrocketed since the ACA’s passage. He and other experts argue that the law’s flawed structure—not the rollback of temporary pandemic-era benefits—is to blame for unaffordable premiums.

House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith has further criticized the enhanced credits as handouts for the wealthy and a windfall for large insurance corporations. He pointed out that, with no income cap, families earning as much as $600,000 a year in high-cost areas still qualify for these subsidies. Similar eligibility extends to a married couple in West Virginia earning $580,000 and an individual in Vermont making $180,000 annually. “These are not working-class Americans,” Smith said. “These are Obamacare subsidies for the wealthy.”

Michael Cannon, director of health policy studies at the Cato Institute, agreed, noting that the enhanced subsidies primarily benefit high-income individuals, not those struggling to afford coverage. “What the enhanced subsidies do,” Cannon said, “is they subsidize people making from $129,000 all the way up to $600,000 per year.”

The findings undermine the Democrat narrative tying the current government shutdown to the fight over Obamacare funding. As the analysis makes clear, the end of the Biden-era credits will have only a modest effect on premiums—while the deeper problem remains a broken, expensive system built on government dependence and taxpayer bailouts for wealthy Americans.

North Carolina’s Rainy Day Fund Running Dry

North Carolina could operate its government for just over 41 days using only its rainy day fund, according to a recent analysis by the Pew Research Center. The state’s emergency reserve stands at $3.61 billion, or 11.4% of its spending, placing it below the national median of 46.9 days of financial cushion.

The 41.5-day figure marks a 17.8-day drop from the previous year, the fifth-largest decrease among all states. Although the rainy day fund was reported at $3.62 billion in October, state officials say other reserves push the total to $7.3 billion in set-aside cash. State Treasurer Brad Briner, a first-term Republican, confirmed that North Carolina has an additional $3.7 billion in reserve funds apart from the rainy day account.

In 2024, the state tapped into its reserves after the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene, which hit western North Carolina and caused 108 deaths along with an estimated $60 billion to $80 billion in damage. Ongoing budget negotiations have focused in part on replenishing the emergency funds used in the storm’s aftermath.

While the state still lacks a finalized budget for the current fiscal year, which began July 1, it continues to operate under its previous two-year spending plan totaling $60.7 billion. Adjustments have been made through appropriations targeting education and hurricane recovery efforts.

North Carolina’s financial situation has improved significantly over the past 15 years. Following the 2010 midterms, Republicans gained control of both chambers of the General Assembly for the first time in 140 years and began addressing a deficit that ranged between $800 million and $1.2 billion. Their efforts eventually turned that deficit into a $5 billion surplus prior to Hurricane Helene.

Compared to neighboring states, North Carolina’s 41.5-day cushion is lower than Georgia (51.4 days) and Virginia (47.4 days) but higher than South Carolina (38.5) and Tennessee (33.8). Meanwhile, Wyoming leads the nation with 320.2 days of reserve funding, while New Jersey ranks last with zero.

Pew analysts emphasized the importance of healthy reserves, noting that they help states manage economic downturns, forecasting errors, and emergencies without resorting to painful tax hikes or spending cuts. Rainy day funds are also vital to maintaining strong credit ratings, and North Carolina remains one of just 14 states to hold a AAA rating from all three major credit agencies.

Rhode Island Teacher Exposed, $117K to Hide Emails?

A Rhode Island school district is demanding more than $117,000 from a concerned parent who requested public records related to a controversial public school teacher. The parent, Nicole Solas, filed a records request with Barrington Public Schools seeking one year’s worth of emails from teacher Ben Fillo—including those mentioning President Donald Trump—as well as all of Fillo’s classroom materials.

The district responded with a price tag of $117,130, claiming it would take 7,735.5 hours of labor to fulfill the request. Solas’ legal counsel, James McGlone of the Goldwater Institute, called the cost “outrageous” and argued that the public interest in this case demands the information be made available at no cost or at least a drastically reduced one.

Fillo, a social studies teacher, drew national attention after he celebrated the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on social media, calling Kirk a “piece of garbage” and mocking his death with the comment “not in heaven.” Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. Fillo’s public comments prompted widespread outrage, particularly from parents and conservatives.

“Public school teachers publicly celebrating murder teaches children that political violence is permissible when you have a different point of view,” Solas said. “Children will be afraid of disagreeing with their teachers in the pursuit of truth and knowledge.”

Solas initially requested all of Fillo’s emails from Sept. 1, 2024, to the present. She later expanded her request to include all emails using the term “Trump” dating back to Jan. 1, 2016. The district claimed to have retrieved 789 emails in the first batch and 1,438 in the second.

Fillo has been placed on administrative leave, removed as co-president of the local teachers’ union, and is under investigation by an independent attorney appointed by the school committee. The investigation will examine whether Fillo’s actions violated school policy or state law. The district has so far focused on procedure, transparency, and legal compliance while remaining largely silent on the substance of Fillo’s behavior.

Critics argue this is yet another example of public institutions shielding politically biased educators from accountability while burdening taxpayers and parents who seek transparency. At issue is not only the extreme cost but also the principle of public access to materials and conduct funded by the public.

War Against Women, Wikipedia ‘Adult Human Female’ Hate Speech

Wikipedia
Wikipedia (Oberon Copeland/@veryinformed via Unsplash)

The online encyclopedia Wikipedia is facing fresh scrutiny after a newly created article about the phrase “adult human female” characterized the term as “hate speech” against transgender individuals. The page, introduced earlier this year, labels the phrase as a slogan adopted by gender‑critical movements and asserts that it functions as a “dog whistle for transphobic beliefs.” The article also ties the phrase to claims of “persecution” of transgender people under the second term of President Donald Trump.

During a recent interview about his book, co‑founder Jimmy Wales defended Wikipedia against claims of a “woke takeover,” pointing to the article on “woman” where “woman” is defined simply as “an adult female human.” However, critics note that if Wales had examined the “adult human female” article itself, he would have discovered that it frames the term as explicitly gender‑exclusionary and antagonistic toward transgender persons.

The new article was created by an editor known as “Tataral,” who has also worked on articles related to conservative figures and high‑profile political controversies. The article was added to a navigation box used across hundreds of Wikipedia entries documenting Trump’s second term, thereby linking the phrase “adult human female” to the broader theme of alleged transgender persecution during that administration. Some critics say this linkage amplifies an ideological narrative rather than offering neutral summary.

The editor’s track record has drawn attention. Among other contributions, the user created pages tied to the Trump‑era mugshot and made edits involving conservative commentator Charlie Kirk and media outlet The Free Press. These actions have raised concerns about consistency, neutrality and alignment with Wikipedia’s stated policy of “neutral point of view.”

Further complicating the debate, the article’s introduction claimed scholars described “adult human female” as “coded hate speech” and a “trans‑exclusionary, gender‑essentialist statement.” These claims have been challenged because some of the cited sources do not use that language; editors have repeatedly removed and restored those phrases during the page’s edit history. To control contentious edits, administrators locked the page so that only highly experienced editors may apply changes.

The dispute reflects a larger issue of editorial bias at Wikipedia—especially in articles dealing with gender identity and LGBT issues. Some observers say what’s happening here isn’t just a single article but part of a systemic tilt in how controversial cultural matters are represented online. Whether one agrees or disagrees with the phrasing, the bigger question is whether Wikipedia is upholding its promise of neutrality.

For conservative Christian readers, the matter raises deeper concerns about the definitions of womanhood, the protection of women’s spaces, and the integrity of public knowledge sources. When an influential free‑to‑edit encyclopedia frames a disputed phrase as “hate speech,” it may shape how society talks about sex, gender, and identity—but also how women’s rights and definitions are safeguarded or eroded in the process.

Cops Fed Up, Police Ignored While Illegal Immigrants Prioritized

Campbell Jensen/Unsplash

Police officers across Democrat-run cities are reaching a breaking point as local leaders pour resources into illegal immigration programs while underfunding and vilifying law enforcement. According to the National Police Association, the growing resentment among rank-and-file officers is no longer just about policy—it’s about survival, morale, and being abandoned by the very cities they protect.

Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith, a spokeswoman for the National Police Association, recently warned that officers are growing increasingly frustrated watching billions of taxpayer dollars being redirected to support illegal aliens. In cities like Chicago, officers are witnessing political leaders throw full support behind migrants while ignoring the crumbling state of public safety infrastructure.

Smith stated that law enforcement is not only underfunded but demonized by the same politicians advocating open borders. The problem, she explained, is not just financial—it’s also cultural. While politicians bend over backwards to accommodate non-citizens, they simultaneously shame and sideline police officers doing the hard work of protecting American communities.

The current climate comes in the wake of the “Defund the Police” movement that swept through liberal cities during the 2020 riots. That movement, supported by radical groups and mega-donors with open borders agendas, demanded the dismantling of law enforcement in favor of so-called “community alternatives.” The result has been surging crime, low police recruitment, and dangerously low morale among officers still serving on the front lines.

In contrast, President Donald Trump has consistently stood with law enforcement, calling for increased resources, training, and national respect for officers. During his administration, he declared Peace Officers Memorial Day a time to honor the men and women who protect communities, praising their sacrifice and service.

Smith emphasized that instead of spending taxpayer dollars to support millions of non-citizens, funds should go toward bolstering law enforcement. Departments are short-staffed, under-equipped, and demoralized. Officers are weary of watching their elected officials prioritize illegal immigration over public safety, especially when millions of Americans are struggling to access housing, jobs, and healthcare.

As the situation intensifies, many officers and police organizations are calling for a return to law-and-order leadership—where citizens come first and law enforcement receives the support it needs to protect the nation effectively.
