The Tennessee legislature banned teaching critical race theory in public and charter schools.
The legislation prohibits schools from teaching students that one sex or race is superior to any other, that an individual “is inherently privileged, racist, sexist, or oppressive” on the basis of race or sex, and that individuals of any race bear responsibility for actions committed by the same race.
The bill also bars educators from teaching students that the United States is “fundamentally or irredeemably racist or sexist” and advocating for the “violent overthrow” of the U.S. government.
A school that violates the law is liable to have its funding from the state cut until it provides proof that it is no longer teaching a curriculum that promotes critical race theory.
Astonished Republican Senators are abruptly calling for Kerry to be investigated if not fired by Biden outright
(Jeffrey) Ya can’t make it up. Here – right here – is then-President Trump accusing then-former Secretary of State John Kerry of violating the Logan Act:
The Logan Act, to remind, was passed in the long-ago dawn of the Republic in 1799 – when John Adams was busy being the second President of the United States! To crib from Wikipedia, the Logan Act “criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized American citizens with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States. The intent behind the Act is to prevent unauthorized negotiations from undermining the government’s position.” Violation of the Logan Act is a felony.
France, once a great nation, is disintegrating right before our eyes. The real culprits are not the Islamists, however; they are anti-racism and multiculturalism, dangerous ideas smartly named to hide a radical agenda.
(Gingrich360) As much as Americans like to tease the French, we should remember that France is our oldest ally. And the French, who really invented the nation-state, are a proud people with strong traditions.
In other words, patriotism is a powerful, unifying force in France — just as it is in America.
This makes it all the more troubling to see what’s been happening in France in recent years: disintegration.
Late last month, more than a thousand former members of the French military, including 20 retired generals and dozens of officers, signed an open letter warning of the “mortal dangers” they say face France. Specifically, the letter expresses concern that France is sliding toward civil war as the government fails to control mass migration and growing Islamism.
The warning comes amid an onslaught of jihadist attacks in France, including the beheading of a school teacher who showed his students cartons of the Prophet Muhammad during a class on free speech.
More recently, France’s highest court ruled that a Muslim immigrant from Mali could not be held criminally responsible for brutally murdering an elderly Jewish woman while shouting “Allahu Akbar” because he was high on marijuana at the time — and therefore in a “delusional fit.”
Tragically, none of this is so surprising. For decades, France has allowed large-scale immigration from Africa and the Middle East, without encouraging any of the newcomers to integrate. The result is a powerful Muslim minority establishing so-called no-go zones, which are nothing less than foreign enclaves on French territory.
Still, the government is furious at the signatories, especially the 18 who are active soldiers. French President Emmanuel Macron and the military brass have vowed to punish them.
But a majority of the French public, 58 percent, actually support the soldiers who signed the letter. That’s according to polling by Harris Interactive, which found a number of alarming results.
Of those polled, 84 percent agree violence in France is growing daily; 73 percent agree France is disintegrating; 86 percent agree certain towns and districts don’t apply French law; 45 percent agree France is on the brink of civil war; and 74 percent agree anti-racism in France is exacerbating hate between communities.
France, once a great nation, is disintegrating right before our eyes. The real culprits are not the Islamists, however; they are anti-racism and multiculturalism, dangerous ideas smartly named to hide a radical agenda.
Indeed, despite the name, anti-racism doesn’t actually mean opposition to racism. It means believing our society is evil, systemically racist, and needs to be overhauled with a sledgehammer to tear down our (allegedly racist) culture and traditions.
Combine this with multiculturalism, which has allowed Islamism to thrive in France through a militant commitment to political correctness, and the result is the erosion of the foundations of the French Republic.
To quote the letter, France’s disintegration is being caused by this type of anti-racism, which has a single goal:
to create division, even hatred, between communities on our soil. Today, some speak of racialism, indigenism, and decolonial theories, but by using these terms, hateful and fanatic partisans are trying to spark a racial war. They despise our country, her traditions, and her culture, and, by attempting to erase her past and her history, want to see her relegated to the dustbin of history. With this objective, they destroy statues and twist centuries-old words and phrases, all to overturn our past military and civilian glories.
There’s a warning here for America, which is at risk of heading down a similarly woke and destructive path toward “social justice.” We see the efforts of the hard left, increasingly embraced by the Democratic Party, to distort and erase our history, to demonize our country, to erase the agency of the individual and divide us monolithically by race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.
This poison has already sparked civil unrest and risks fostering hate between our communities, as it has in France.
We should view this threat as political as much as cultural. Just look at the current initiatives by Congress and the Biden administration to kill the filibuster, pack the Supreme Court, federalize the electoral process, and radically expand the role of government. Democrats are framing each one as anti-racist, a moral imperative to force social justice on an American system they claim is defined by bigotry.
It remains to be seen how much of this agenda will actually be implemented, but much of it is in the works.
As the late Charles Krauthammer wrote, decline is a choice. Just ask France.
Critical race theory is a quasi-Marxist ideology that holds that racism is ingrained in the United States. Among other concepts, it labels people with white skin, including children, as oppressors who hold an inherent advantage over other races and should feel guilt due to their “privilege.”
“Now more than ever we need policies that bring us together, not rip us apart,” Stitt, a Republican, said in a video posted on Twitter. “I firmly believe that not one cent of taxpayer money should be used to define and divide young Oklahomans about their race or sex.”
The bill does not mention critical race theory by name and instead bans the teaching of some of the racist and sexist concepts promoted by the ideology, including that “one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex” or that “an individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously.”
According to Twitchy, under the mistaken idea he was a hero, some lunatic posted (and then deleted) video of himself screaming at some poor woman (who says she’s pregnant) for not wearing a mask.
First off, let’s be very clear about something… The victim of this mewling crybully did nothing wrong, absolutely nothing wrong… As someone who still wears a mask and will continue to until two weeks after my second shot, I want to repeat again that this woman did nothing wrong.
If I’m wearing a mask I could not care less if someone else chooses to not wear a mask. If I’m wearing a mask and am six feet away from someone, what they choose to do is solely up to them. Their actions in no way worry me. At no point do I feel as though they are putting me in any kind of risk category.
We have all been educated about the risks of the China Virus. We are all adults. We are all Americans. We are all free men created by God so we should all be allowed to make our own choices, to choose which risks we want to take, to decide what our own personal definition is of “quality of life.”
Someone not wearing a mask, someone choosing to not social distance does not in any way interfere with my rights, so I simply do not care.
What’s more, if you look at the coronavirus states with and without mask mandates, it is perfectly reasonable to come to the conclusion masks are useless and unnecessary. That’s not my conclusion. I started wearing a mask back when Dr. Fauci was still — by his own admission — lying to us about them, but given the success of states that have repealed their mask mandates, I’m not going to argue with those who disagree with me.
None of this common sense, however, matters to America’s Virtueless Virtue Signaling Mask Nazis. These fascist, anti-science cowards live for any excuse to scream their virtueless virtue in someone else’s face and then publish this “heroic” event on social media where they will be hailed as a hero by other virtueless, virtue-signaling crybullies.
This is what the Woke Gestapo have wrought, a whole culture of pissy busybodies looking for any excuse and all the emotional blackmail they can summon (“I no longer have grandparents due to this virus because of people like you!”) to justify harassing an innocent, pregnant woman out and about minding her own business and not harming anyone.
In fact, this lying jerk (women “like” her had nothing to do with anyone’s death) is likely responsible for creating a truly risky situation by shouting in this woman’s face, even if it is through a mask or ten.
As I’ve said before, this is all terrifyingly reminiscent of the AIDS crisis in the 80s, where bad people exploited a deadly virus to try and bully other people into changing their behavior and lifestyle. The gay community responding in the most American way possible: with a middle finger. What we’re seeing today from the Mask Nazis and the Social Distancing Nazis and the Lockdown Nazis is no different. They are two sides of the same bigoted coin.
The only consistency you will ever see in the behavior of bullies and fascists is that they are opportunists looking for any reason to boss other people around.
The demands of a controversial Republican-backed audit of the 2020 election in Arizona’s most populous county “jeopardize” law enforcement activities, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office warned.
Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone released a statement after lawyers with the GOP-controlled Arizona Senate, which ordered the audit and recount of 2.1 million ballots cast last November, sent an email to Maricopa County officials on Friday morning demanding access to router information by the end of the day or face subpoenas on Monday to explain their position while under oath.
Insisting the audit’s most recent demands “jeopardize the entire mission of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office,” Penzone explained that access to the information “would adversely affect” his team’s ability “to protect critical evidence, data shared between law enforcement agencies, protected private information and individual passwords, all of which could be used to the detriment of citizens and law enforcement infrastructure.”
