Tucker Carlson Interviews Ron DeSantis Over the 60 Minutes Hit Piece (video)

If you’ve been reading RedState the last few days, you’ve no doubt been following the saga of a 60 Minutes hit piece produced on Florida Gov.

Ron DeSantis (see hereherehere, and here for more details).

The “report” was full of false insinuations and included a deceptively edited portion that obscured the truth of the matter. It was so dishonest that even multiple Democrat officials in Florida called out CBS News for purposely lying about the vaccine situation in the state.

Tonight, DeSantis went on Tucker Carlson’s show, and let’s just say that shots were fired. He lambasted 60 Minutes for their terrible journalistic standards and for deliberately lying about the situation with Publix and vaccination sites.

DeSantis also provides more detail about where the state was targeting vaccinations early on because CBS completely omitted that context.

‘Cities Will Be on Fire’: BLM Activist Warns ‘All Hell Will Break Loose’ If Officer Chauvin Is Not Convicted (video)

Black Lives Matter activist Maya Echols, who is also a signed model with IMG Worldwide, warned in a recent Tik-Tok video that “cities will burn” if Police Officer Derek Chauvin is not convicted in the death of drug addict and thief George Floyd.

Maya Echols: “If George Floyd’s murderer is not sentenced just know that all hell is going to break loose. Don’t be surprised when buildings are on fire.”

Jordan B. Peterson stunned by ‘Red Skull’ hit job in ‘Captain America’ comic

Left-wing activist and Marvel scribe Ta-Nehisi Coates has turned clinical psychologist Jordan B. Peterson into “Red Skull.”

The latest issue of “Captain America” stunned the famous “12 Rules for Life” and “Beyond Order” author this week when he realized the creative hit job in a story titled “All Die Young: Part IX.”

The tale takes place after the Nazi-inspired villain used “chaos to his advantage” during a bomb scare.

“What the hell?” Mr. Peterson tweeted as a panel of Red Skull discussing “10 Rules for Life,” “Chaos and Order” and “The Feminist Trap” went viral across social media.

Critics of Mr. Coates have consistently claimed that he was infusing tales with left-wing activism during his run on the book.

Day 70: Biden’s Infrastructure Plan Is Only 37% Infrastructure, Even POLITICO Slams “Not Accurate” Claims

On Day 70, Biden’s “infrastructure” plan was unveiled—and it contained so much more than infrastructure. Even POLITICO – not exactly hostile to Biden – has rated his claims about the plan “not accurate.”

Biden’s Plan To “Rebuild the Backbone of America.”

Last Wednesday, Biden unveiled his massive $2 trillion infrastructure proposal, titled the “American Jobs Plan,” which proposes to:

  • Replace 10 of “the most economically significant” bridges;
  • Repair 10,000 bridges;
  • Build new railways and transit lines;
  • Build 500,000 charging stations nationwide;
  • Procure materials from minority-owned businesses;
  • Replace 100 percent of lead pipes and service lines;
  • Build infrastructure for 100 percent high-speed broadband coverage;
  • Hike corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent;
  • Enact a 15 percent minimum tax on large corporations’ book income;
  • Prioritize “addressing long-standing and persistent racial injustice”;
  • Raise wages and benefits for home caregiving workers;
  • “Prepare students to be productive workers”;
  • Eliminate the use of paper plates in public schools;
  • Expand access to long-term care services under Medicaid;
  • Establish the United States as a leader in climate science;
  • Eliminate racial and gender inequities in R&D, science, technology, engineering, and math;
  • Support violence prevention programs to the tune of $5 billion;
  • “Build social infrastructure to support innovation and productivity across the country”.

But even according to the globalist World Economic Forum, this plan goes well beyond “infrastructure,” with POLITICO reporting on Wednesday April 7th that just 37 percent of Biden’s plan – $821bn – can be considered such.

California Sets June 15 Target to Fully Reopen Its Economy

  •  Move means capacity limits on businesses will be lifted
  •  State surpasses 20 million vaccine doses administered

California officials plan to fully reopen the economy on June 15 — if the pandemic continues to abate — after driving down coronavirus case loads in the most populous U.S. state.

The move will lift capacity limits on restaurants, movie theaters and other businesses, many of which have faced some sort of restriction for more than a year. The state will do away with its current tier-based reopening system, which is based on county-level virus metrics.

“We’re moving past the dimmer switch,” Governor Gavin Newsom said at a press briefing Tuesday. “This is a big day in terms of the pandemic and the journey that we’ve been on.”

The announcement gave a boost to stocks that rely on large crowds. Walt Disney Co. and Six Flags Entertainment Corp. briefly gained on the news, and AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. — the largest movie chain — pared its losses.

Trump Was Mocked for ‘Sunlight’ COVID Comments, New Research Vindicates Him

President Donald Trump, who speculated last year that sunlight might neutralize the coronavirus, has been vindicated as a recent study claims UV rays might actually kill the virus eight times fast than previously believed.

UC Santa Barbara released its findings of a multi-university study this past week which took an in-depth look at the role sunshine plays in neutralizing active viral particles.

“In a letter in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, a team of researchers from UC Santa Barbara, Oregon State University, University of Manchester and ETH Zurich examines another of SARS-CoV-2’s well known characteristics — its vulnerability to sunlight. Their conclusion? It might take more than UV-B rays to explain sunlight inactivation of SARS-CoV-2,” the university noted.

When blasting the virus in synthetic saliva with UVB light in a lab setting, researchers set out to test a theory that, if predictions were accurate, might have seen “sunlight inactivation of SARS-CoV-2” occur with prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays.

“The theory predicts that inactivation should happen an order of magnitude slower,” said UC Santa Barbara mechanical engineering professor Paolo Luzzatto-Fegiz said.

The joint university study noted something peculiar: “In the experiments, viruses in simulated saliva and exposed to UV-B lamps were inactivated more than eight times faster than would have been predicted by the theory.”

The school added, “[cultured samples] in a complete growth medium before exposure to UV-B were inactivated more than three times faster than expected,” but the study concluded more research was needed.

Biden Admin Eyes Restarting Work on Trump’s Border Wall

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas reportedly is mulling a restart to border wall construction to plug “gaps” in the current barrier.

According to the Washington Times, the subject came up during a talk between Mayorkas and Immigration and Customs Enforcement staffers.

When asked about his plans for the wall, Mayorkas told staffers that while President Joe Biden has issued a stop on construction, “that leaves room to make decisions” on finishing some “gaps in the wall,” the Washington Times reported.

Citing notes of the ICE session that it had reviewed, the news outlet reported Customs and Border Protection, which oversees the wall, has submitted a plan for what it wants to see happen moving forward.

“It’s not a single answer to a single question. There are different projects that the chief of the Border Patrol has presented and the acting commissioner of CBP presented to me,” Mayorkas told the ICE staffers, the Washington Times reported.

“The president has communicated quite clearly his decision that the emergency that triggered the devotion of [Department of Defense] funds to the construction of the border wall is ended. But that leaves room to make decisions as the administration, as part of the administration, in particular areas of the wall that need renovation, particular projects that need to be finished.”

Michigan university can’t punish Christian club for requiring leaders to be Christian, judge rules

A federal court ruled on Monday to protect a Christian student organization that had its official student club status revoked by a Michigan university for requiring its leaders to adhere to its statement of faith. University officials will be held liable for discriminating against the club.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, a student ministry that provides community, Bible studies and important discussions on campus, has been a part of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan for over 75 years.

Though the club is open to all students, the university deemed InterVarsity’s leadership policies “discriminatory” for requiring that the group’s leaders agree with the organization’s statement of faith.

WSU de-registered the club during a routine club membership reapplication process in October 2017 due to the club’s supposed discrimination against non-Christians. But, the university eventually recalled its decision after InterVarsity filed a lawsuit.

Not being recognized as a club meant InterVarsity could not enjoy certain campus benefits, such as reserving meeting rooms for free, hosting free tables at events or applying for certain campus funding.

Judge Robert H. Cleland of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan ruled that the university’s actions “strike at the heart” of the First Amendment and are “obviously odious to the Constitution.”

He added that the university’s “disparate and discriminatory” treatment of the religious group violates the Constitution’s Free Exercise Clause. He said the school’s attempts to dictate the club’s leadership are “categorically barred by the Constitution.”

2 Terrorist Suspects In Custody After Attempting To Illegally Enter U.S.

Two undocumented terrorist suspects wanted by the FBI have been detained. In a statement on Monday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed two illegal immigrants from Yemen who were on the FBI’s terror watchlist and no-fly list are in custody after they were apprehended while illegally crossing the border near California ports of entry.

Agents from the El Centro Station arrested one of the suspects in March. During an interview on Monday, California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa stressed the 26-year-old terrorist suspect is a high value target.

“We have always been just one slip up away from another 9/11,” he stated. “The kind of disaster that happened on 9/11 can be done again with a truck load of fertilizer…can be done again with a stolen aircraft.”

Columbia University Segregating Graduation (video)

Columbia University announced that it would host six segregated graduations while dividing students on race, ethnicity and gender identity. The segregated graduations would be voluntary and not mandatory. Saurabh Sharma, President of American Moment, said this is a step in the wrong direction.
