NYC Judge Restricts Unvaccinated Father From Visiting His 3-Year-Old Daughter in Ongoing Custody Battle

A New York City judge has officially taken away a Long Island father’s right to see his young daughter in person because he has not taken the experimental Covid-19 vaccine. Now in order to see his 3-year-old, the father must either get vaccinated or present a weekly PCR test in addition to a biweekly antigen test within 24 hours of a scheduled visit.

The judge – Matthew Cooper – who is presiding over the bitter custody dispute, called the yet-to-be-named father a “danger” to the child and specifically cites “conspiracy theories,” “misinformation,” and “muddled notions of individual liberty” as the bogus reasoning behind stripping his rights away.

“Here, in-person parental access by the defendant is not in the child’s best interests, and there are exceptional circumstances that support its suspension.

The dangers of voluntarily remaining unvaccinated during access with a child while the COVID-19 virus remains a threat to children’s health and safety cannot be understated.

Unfortunately, and to my mind, incomprehensibly, a sizable minority, seizing upon misinformation, conspiracy theories, and muddled notions of ‘individual liberty,’ have refused all entreaties to be vaccinated.”

The father has already had Covid-19 and recovered – which has been proven to provide better immunity than taking any of the rushed vaccines – but Judge Cooper did not factor that into his decision before handing down his ruling. Instead, Cooper was too busy playing political activist from the bench. The only ones trafficking in misinformation are the crazed leftists who are pushing these vaccine mandates and denying that natural immunity exists.

Not to mention, the person being “protected” from her father is three years old – children have effectively zero risk of death to this virus. In fact, they are the least affected group of people, with a recovery rate that is around 99.5-99.9%.

But, according to Bolshevik Judge Cooper, this father is a “danger,” and a conspiracy theorist.

Lloyd Rosen, the attorney representing the father, fired back after Cooper’s decision and explained the father’s reasoning behind not taking the vaccine.

“My client is not a conspiracy theorist. He has concerns about the vaccine. He’s heard about side effects. He once had a bad reaction to the flu vaccine.

This judge must feel that 80 million Americans who aren’t vaccinated are placing their children at imminent risk or harm and, therefore, the courts should intervene and remove those children from their parents. That is an absurd position to take.”

Rosen also said his client has not decided if he is going to appeal and had already rejected the offer to submit to mandatory testing. The father is seeking to have a full hearing on the matter, but his requests have been denied so far by Cooper.

This is the second time in recent months that a crazed left-wing judge has taken away visitation rights for an unvaccinated parent during a custody battle. The last time this happened, a Cook County, Illinois Judge restricted an unvaccinated mother from seeing her kids in person.

The judge in that case, James Shapiro, was forced to recuse himself from the case because of the public backlash to his decision.

Judge Cooper, unlike Judge Shapiro, is an extremely high-profile juror. He has previously ruled over several divorce cases that involve A-listers like Robert De Niro and Uma Thurman. His blatantly political statements in his decision demonstrate that he cannot be impartial or fair over this case. At a minimum, he should recuse himself just like Shapiro did.

Mountains Do Move

Can this single stunning action blow apart the Big Tech bias?

Security expert urges secret component be made public.

One study by the Media Research Center already has documented that Big Tech’s suppression of the real-life news story about Hunter Biden’s abandoned computer laptop and the damaging – to Joe Biden – information it contained cost President Trump the election victory in 2020.

But those social-media giants are protected from virtually all liability for what they censor based on Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

That provides immunity from liability because they are supposed to be “platforms” for speech, not “publishers” of that speech.

Even though virtually every social-media corporation making up the Big Tech cartel in America is known for, and has publicly admitted, censoring statements because of their content, suppressing conservative views and thought and promoting liberal agenda points.

Now one expert is offering a stunning solution to that problem: having those tech companies make public their algorithms that determine what is censored.

The concept comes from Kalev Leetaru, a media fellow at Real Clear. He’s also a senior fellow at the George Washington University Center for Cyber & Homeland Security and previously he was fellow in residence at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Government.

“Section 230 must be amended to require that in return for the liability immunity they enjoy, Internet platforms must make the real-world rules, algorithms, design decisions and management directives that determine what we see each day accessible to policymakers, researchers, the press and the public at large,” he explained.

“Social media’s reach into Americans’ daily lives is too great to leave our understanding of its harms and undue influence to the courage of whistleblowers. A new Section 230 ‘transparency amendment’ would require that social platforms make an array of key datasets publicly available, thus replacing chance leaks with routine disclosure and enabling policymakers to have informed data-driven debates as they seek to chart a regulatory path forward.”

He said what until now has been a “closed and seemingly capricious system” needs to be changed into “a public process — akin to our legal and electoral systems — that can be scrutinized and publicly debated.”

He cited his own foundation’s new report “Transparency is the First Step Toward Addressing Social Media Censorship,” in support of his plan.

That, he wrote, “offers a glimpse of what this transparent future might look like, while the full-length research report behind it, “Social Media, Digital Censorship & the Future of Democracy,” details America’s 2½-century journey to a world in which a handful of unelected billionaires wield near-absolute control over digital speech, with the power to censor citizens and governments alike, arbitrate ‘acceptable speech’ for the entire planet, determine ‘truth’ and even silence the presidency.”

He pointed out that both sides of the political aisle are more and more recognizing that increased regulation of agenda-driven social media platforms is needed.

He explained Americans first need to understand what those companies do, and how they do it, in order to fix the problem.

“Much as a doctor cannot prescribe a treatment plan for a patient without first diagnosing the specific ailments from which they suffer, meaningful reform of social censorship requires data-driven interventions. Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen warned last week that ‘as long as Facebook is operating in the shadows, hiding its [work] from public scrutiny, it is unaccountable.’ The problem, as Haugen notes, is that we lack the most basic data on how social platforms function and their impact on society to be able to understand how we might best regulate them,” he explained.

He said the problem with Section 230 is that it didn’t require the companies to provide anything in return for their “near-absolute immunity.”

“States were explicitly barred from narrowing 230’s protections and government was given no oversight role, depriving the American public from influencing or even seeing the rules that govern the digital public square. Most importantly, Section 230 failed to require even the most basic of transparency around how companies wielded its protections,” he said.

That leaves social media companies restricting posts, suspending, banning and demonetizing users based on their views “without any explanation…”

“Even mainstream media is not exempt, as Twitter’s ever-changing explanations for banning the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story reinforces,” he said.

“Moreover, Section 230’s reach now extends beyond the web to the physical world, as Facebook arbitrates which protest marches are permissible to promote; Uber and Lyft ban users over their tweets; Airbnb banishes users over their group affiliations; Amazon refuses to publish books it disagrees with; and even Microsoft crafts acceptable use policies for desktop software. Even foreign-owned TikTok banned Donald Trump, as did its U.S. peers, reflecting the increasingly international reach of Silicon Valley’s rules,” he said.

FDA delays Moderna vaccine for adolescents due to risk of rare heart condition

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Friday it would delay its decision on administration of the Moderna vaccine to adolescents, citing concerns the shot may lead to a heightened risk of a rare heart condition.

The FDA has not yet determined if the risk is higher for adolescents, but the agency is planning to review the data further before extending the vaccine’s eligibility, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“I think people can be reassured that the risk of myocarditis with an mRNA vaccine is low, it appears to be balanced between the different products,” Paul Burton, Moderna’s chief medical officer, told the outlet.

Myocarditis is the inflammation of the heart muscle, with symptoms including chest pain, shortness of breath, and feelings of having an abnormal heartbeat. The inflammation typically occurs a few days after the second COVID-19 vaccine injection, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .

It is unclear how long the delay on the Moderna vaccine will continue, with one person familiar with the issue saying it could last for weeks, the outlet reported.

Finland similarly announced on Oct. 7 it would pause distribution of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to younger men after a study found that men 30 and under who took the Moderna vaccine had a slightly higher risk of developing myocarditis.

Swedish and Danish health officials announced on Oct. 6 they would also pause the use of the Moderna vaccine for all young adults and children, citing the same unpublished study as Finland.

The FDA still encourages nonadolescents to get vaccinated, including with the Moderna vaccine.

On Thursday, the FDA panel unanimously endorsed a half-dose booster shot for older and at-risk adults. The panel also supported a booster shot for all adults who received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

Despite some concerns regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, a majority of U.S. residents are vaccinated. Around 65.8% of U.S. residents have received their first vaccine shot, with roughly 56.9% fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the CDC .

Boeing Workers Stage Protest Near Seattle Over US Vaccine Mandate

Waving signs like “coercion is not consent,” and “stop the mandate,” some 200 Boeing Co employees and others staged a protest on Friday over the planemaker’s COVID-19 vaccine requirement for U.S. workers.

Boeing said on Tuesday it will require U.S. employees to be vaccinated by Dec. 8 under an executive order issued by President Joe Biden for federal contractors.

“It’s my choice and it’s my body,” one avionics engineer said, his voice nearly drowned out by anti-Biden chants and trucks honking to show support along the busy street outside Boeing’s factory in Everett, north of Seattle.

“It’s an experimental drug given under a pseudo-emergency,” he added.

Another worker, an assembly mechanic, said: “This is America. We don’t just do what we’re told because one person says to.”

Earlier this week, Boeing said employees must either show proof of vaccination or have an approved reasonable accommodation based on a disability or sincerely held religious belief by Dec. 8.

“Boeing is committed to maintaining a safe working environment for our employees,” a spokesperson said. “Advancing the health and safety of our global workforce is fundamental to our values and a core priority every day.”

Major U.S. airlines including American Airlines have said they will also meet the deadline imposed on federal contractors, as has aircraft parts manufacturer Spirit AeroSystems.

“Now that he has issued the Executive Order, it is our responsibility to comply with that order,” Spirit Chief Executive Officer Tom Gentile wrote in a memo to employees and seen by Reuters on Friday.

Spirit was calling back former employees as it prepares for what Gentile characterized as “one of the fastest increases in production rates in the history of our industry.”

Boeing has said its mandate does not apply immediately to its sites in Texas, where Republican Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order on Monday barring COVID-19 vaccine mandates by any entity, including private employers.

Despite Hollywood Appeasement To China, CCP Bans American Films

Film productions have been routinely tweaking scenes to make China favorable to them — all for nothing.

Just like American political leaders and financial giants, Hollywood has also misjudged China’s intentions. After Dalian Wanda’s takeover of the American production company Legendary Entertainment, some warned that Beijing was trying to subvert American audiences’ opinion of China by injecting subtle Chinese propaganda into American films.

But it turns out, Beijing and President Xi had no intentions of embracing Hollywood: instead, it appears they’re trying to keep Chinese consumers from absorbing Hollywood’s decadent cultural values. Which is why American films have been increasingly blocked from being shown in the Chinese entertainment market in recent years.

According to a report by Nikkei, while Hollywood studios hoped China would be a major growth market for blockbuster films, China’s censors have been extremely selective about which films they allow to be screened in the world’s second-largest economy, whose box office revenues surpassed America’s in 20202 (thanks, in major part, to the pandemic).

Just like NBA players, who need to watch what they say about sensitive issues like Hong Kong, Hollywood actors need to be careful about touching a nerve. When John Cena accidentally referred to Taiwan as “a country” in a promotional clip for “Fast & Furious 9”, he nearly cost the studio more than $200MM. It ended with him begging for the CCP’s forgiveness for his honest mistake.

Although unpredictable, China has been a major factor in decision-making for American studios. Film productions sometimes tweak scenes to get access to China. A trailer for the sequel to the 1986 blockbuster “Top Gun” suggested that Japanese and Taiwanese flags on the leather jacket of the main character, Maverick, had been removed to avoid touching a nerve with Chinese regulators. In June, “Fast & Furious 9″‘ star John Cena apologized to Chinese fans for referring to Taiwan as a “country” in a promotional video for the movie. “Fast & Furious 9” made nearly $204 million in China and $173 million in the U.S.

Sometimes, anticipating how the Chinese audience will react to a film can be difficult. Take “Shang-Chi”, which was widely praised for its all-Asian cast. The movie was widely criticized in China, despite taking in hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide.

Studios and stars often find themselves drawn into controversy on Chinese social media. With a nearly all-Asian cast, “Shang-Chi” was well reviewed, widely appreciated and lucrative: Its U.S. box office had topped $200 million and it had brought in $388 million worldwide as of Oct. 5, according to Box Office Mojo. But as it was being promoted overseas, China’s netizens criticized the stars, Simu Liu and Awkwafina, for failing to conform to traditional Chinese beauty standards, and also the villain, the Mandarin, for being a stereotype. Some reviewers in the U.S. had similar criticisms of the Mandarin — a heavily reworked version of the Marvel comic strips’ Fu Manchu — but Chinese actor Tony Leung received particularly heavy criticism on Chinese social media for the role before the film was released.

And while Marvel movies have been hugely popular in China, some fear the upcoming “Eternals” movie may be blocked by Chinese censors.

Some suspect the upcoming “Eternals” faces difficulty securing a release date because its director, Oscar-winning China native Chloe Zhao, was criticized for making an unflattering comment about her homeland during an interview several years ago. The announcement of her Oscar victory was blocked on the Chinese internet as well. It remains unclear if Chinese moviegoers will be able to watch “Eternals” this year. “If I was an investor, I would be very concerned about a strategy at this point that depended on access to the Chinese market and the good graces of Chinese film regulators,” said Aynne Kokas, the author of “Hollywood Made in China” and a media studies professor at the University of Virginia. “To make very expensive films in anticipation of being able to deliver them to the Chinese market and then not being certain that’s possible is actually a much more financially irresponsible strategy from my perspective.”

China’s censors only allow a quota of 34 foreign films to be released in mainland China each year. Despite years of negotiations between regulators in Hollywood and China’s censors, Beijing has refused to change the quota. Beijing also has caps on foreign content on the country’s streaming services.

What’s more, Beijing’s recent crackdown on its own entertainment industry (banning depictions of “sissy” men while erasing one of the country’s most popular actresses from the Chinese Internet) further supports the fact that Beijing has a very clear idea of what entertainment should be permitted and what should not.

“You look at all of the criticisms of the so-called sissy boys, the closing down of the K-pop fan clubs, closing down of tutoring services that taught English, English not included in school final exams…It’s the atmosphere right now that foreign is dangerous, and Hollywood is subject to that as well,” said Stanley Rosen, a political science professor who specializes in Chinese politics and society at the University of Southern California.

And while Hollywood has so far depended on China for growth, Beijing doesn’t need Hollywood for anything. Already, homemade patriotic blockbusters have proven to be major hits in China, and abroad. For the past six years, domestic films have led the Chinese box office in revenue.

But if Hollywood still needs China, it is an open question whether China needs Hollywood. In the first half of 2021, China’s box office reached roughly $3.9 billion, according to the tracking app Dengta, and although the highest-grossing films used to be Hollywood blockbusters, domestic films have taken the crown for the past six years. “Hi, Mom,” a heartwarming Chinese movie about a woman going back in time in an attempt to make her mother’s life better, has the highest box office of 2021 worldwide so far, at $822 million.

Patriotic Chinese blockbusters have generated much revenue as well. “The Battle at Lake Changjin” raked in $203.2 million over the National Day weekend in China, according to Box Office Mojo.

So, American studios now have a difficult choice to make. They can start being more sensitive to the demands of the Chinese market. But such a “craven” approach would likely elicit a backlash at home, as politicians accuse Hollywood of putting profits over human rights.

17 American Missionaries, Including Children, Kidnapped by Gang in Haiti

17 American Christian missionaries, including children, were kidnapped by a gang in Haiti this weekend.

According to reports, the Ohio-based Christian group was on their way home after building an orphanage when they were kidnapped by the gang.

“The welfare and safety of U.S. citizens abroad is one of the highest priorities of the Department of State,” the spokesperson said.

It is unclear if the gang is demanding a ransom.

The Associated Press reported:

A group of 17 U.S. missionaries, including children, were kidnapped by a gang in Haiti on Saturday, according to a voice message sent to various religious missions by an organization with direct knowledge of the incident.

The missionaries were on their way home from building an orphanage, according to a message from Ohio-based Christian Aid Ministries.

“This is a special prayer alert,” the one-minute message said. “Pray that the gang members would come to repentance.”

The message states that the mission’s field director is working with the U.S. Embassy, and that the field director’s family and one other unidentified man stayed at the ministry’s base while everyone else visiting the orphanage was abducted.

The woke storm DC: Dozens of ‘extreme’ climate change activists dubbed ‘People vs Fossil Fuels’ barge into Interior Department, leaving ‘multiple cops and security’ injured in scenes reminiscent of Jan. 6 Capitol riots

  • Police clashed with dozens of protestors who forced their way inside the Interior Department on Thursday
  • Demonstrators held five days of protests in DC calling for Biden to end all fossil fuel projects
  • Multiple security officers were injured and 55 demonstrators were arrested at the Interior Department
  • Activists forced their way in to hold a sit-in, which critics claimed was reminiscent of January 6 riot
  • The protest was part of ‘a historic surge of Indigenous resistance’, activists said
  • Footage captured protestors who made it inside the Department of the Interior who linked arms for sit-in

Dozens of climate activists have been arrested after they clashed with police in Washington DC and forced their way into the Interior Department building in scenes that some have called reminiscent of the US Capitol riot.

An Interior Department spokeswoman said a group of demonstrators rushed the lobby on Thursday, injuring multiple security officers, at least of whom was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police and protesters clashed outside the building, and officers used Tasers and batons against several unarmed protesters, representatives for the activist group said. The group said 55 participants were arrested.

The dramatic scenes came during five days of demonstrations in the capital organized by a Native American climate group calling itself ‘People vs Fossil Fuels’, which is demanding that President Joe Biden cease approvals for fossil fuel infrastructure and lead a renewable energy transformation.

Footage shared by Washington Post reporter Ellie Silverman shows protestors pushing their way into the Interior Department, while chanting ‘sign the treaty’ and ‘protect the water’.

An overwhelmed officer appears to flash his taser at the angry crowd gathered at the entrance to the federal building.

Another video shows one protestor try to climb into the building through the door while the crowd cheers in support.

Footage also captured protestors who made it inside the Department of the Interior, who were linked arm and arm for a sit-in protest while officers look on.

Conservative critics quickly compared the scenes to those of January 6, when thousands of Donald Trump’s loyalists stormed the US Capitol.

Andy Ngô, a conservative commentator who frequently criticizes left-wing demonstrations, called the climate demonstrators ‘extreme’ and tweeted that it was ‘a scene reminiscent of Jan. 6.’

Interior Secretary Deb Haaland was traveling Thursday and was not in the building during the chaotic protest.

Haaland, a member of the Laguna Pueblo tribe in New Mexico, is the first Native American Interior secretary.

‘Interior Department leadership believes strongly in respecting and upholding the right to free speech and peaceful protest,” Melissa Schwartz, a spokeswoman for Haaland, said in a statement.

‘Centering the voices of lawful protesters is and will continue to be an important foundation of our democracy. It is also our obligation to keep everyone safe. We will continue to do everything we can to de-escalate the situation while honoring First Amendment rights.”

She said protesters who were arrested were taken in for booking.

The protest was part of ‘a historic surge of Indigenous resistance’ in the nation’s capital that started on Monday, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, outside the White House, said Jennifer Falcon, a spokeswoman for the Indigenous Environmental Network.

More than 100 people were arrested as protesters linked arms and sat along the White House fence line to call on the Biden administration to do more to combat climate change and ban fossil fuels.

Demonstrators defaced the Andrew Jackson statue at the center of Lafayette Park across the street from the White House was defaced with the words ‘Expect Us’ – part of a rallying cry used by Indigenous people who have been fighting against fossil fuel pipelines.

Jackson, a slave-owning president, infamously forced Cherokees and many other Native Americans on deadly marches out of their southern homelands.

Protesters also climbed a flagpole outside the Army Corps of Engineers office, demanding a stop to Line 3, an oil pipeline upgrade that was recently completed in Minnesota. The pipeline will bring tar sands oil from Canada to Wisconsin.

Falcon said in an interview that her group has no formal role in that protest, which she said was led by ‘autonomous, frontline leaders’ and ‘water protectors.”

The protests continued on Friday as Indigenous groups and other environmental activists marched to the Capitol.

Nearly 80 people were arrested on the fifth day of the ‘People vs. Fossil Fuels’ protest. That brings the total arrested during the week to more than 600, organizers said.

Under a banner declaring ‘We did not vote for fossil fuels,’ activists pressed Biden to stop approving new pipelines and other fossil fuel projects and declare a climate emergency.

Demonstrators urged members of Congress to ‘listen to the people’ who sent them to Washington and take urgent action to phase out fossil fuels that contribute to global warming.

Capitol Police said 78 people were arrested on obstruction or crowding charges. Three of those arrested also were charged with assault on a police officer.

Speakers said Biden was not following through on his promises to act on climate change.

‘It’s ridiculous. He promised, just like they’ve done in the past, “We’ll talk about it, we’ll bring it to the table.” Where’s our seat?’ asked Isabelle Knife, 22, a member of the Yankton Sioux tribe of South Dakota.

‘We haven’t had a seat. We haven’t been heard,’ Knife said. ‘It takes youth to be on the frontlines. It takes us to put our bodies on the line.’

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the administration was ‘listening to advocates and people who have been elevating the issue of climate for decades.´´

Environmental activists ‘have important voices, and they´ve put climate on the front of the agenda when it wasn´t 10 years and 20 years ago,´´ Psaki said Thursday.

She encouraged activists and anyone who supports action on climate change to look at Biden´s proposals in a bipartisan infrastructure bill and a larger Democratic-only plan to address social and environmental issues.

‘He’s trying to push across the finish line … an enormous investment and commitment to addressing the climate crisis,’ Psaki said. ‘That´s in his legislative agenda that´s currently working its way through Congress now.’

‘It doesn’t mean his climate commitment ends once he signs this into law; it just means that’s what our focus is on now, and it will have a dramatic, important impact,’ she added.

Parents Announce ‘Not Domestic Terrorists’ Rally In Front Of The Justice Department

Northern Virginia parents plan to protest in front of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Sunday, according to a flyer posted online.

A flyer reveals plans for a “Parents Are Not ‘Domestic Terrorists’ Rally Oct. 17. “Stand up, speak up, fight back!” the memo reads. “Bring friends, be heard … you can make a difference!”

News broke Wednesday that a Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) student was allegedly raped in a school bathroom in May by a male student who wore a skirt. The victim’s father, Scott Smith, was arrested at a LCPS school board meeting weeks later for resisting arrest, and the perpetrator – who was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy – allegedly assaulted another girl at the school he transferred to following the initial incident, Daily Wire reported.

Minutes before the Smith’s arrest, the superintendent stated that public concerns about transgender bathrooms were misplaced and claimed there was no record of any assault occurring in the district’s school bathrooms.

Loudoun County’s prosecutor, who had close ties to the LCPS school board and would have known about the incident, appeared in court personally to prosecute Smith for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Daily Wire reported. The prosecutor had campaigned on a platform of ending “mass incarceration.”

In response to a Sept. 29 National School Boards Association letter which likened parents protesting at school board meetings to “domestic terrorists,” the Department of Justice announced plans for the FBI to cooperate with local law enforcement in every federal judicial district to address threats against school administrators and other school staff.

Loudoun County and Fairfax County are suburbs of Washington, D.C. in northern Virginia.
