Hollywood Erupts Over Shutdown Deal, ‘Democrats Betrayed Us!’

Leftist celebrities are lashing out at Senate Democrats after eight members of the party crossed the aisle to vote with Republicans to end the nation’s longest federal government shutdown. The short-term spending bill, passed Sunday night, secured just enough support to meet the 60-vote threshold and move forward—prompting outrage from Hollywood’s progressive elite who saw the vote as a betrayal of their hardline stance against President Donald Trump.

Among the most vocal critics were actors and creators known for their political activism. Rob Delaney, Jon Cryer, Bradley Whitford, Whoopi Goldberg, Paul F. Tompkins, and Michael Ian Black all took to social media to condemn Democrats—especially Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer—for agreeing to a deal that would restore government operations, including services to low-income Americans.

Delaney attacked so-called “Cave Senators,” suggesting Democrats had failed to stand firm, while Cryer offered a blunt rebuke: “You suck at this.” Paul F. Tompkins responded with sarcasm, mocking those defending the Democrat strategy by suggesting every move is part of some master plan. Michael Ian Black wrote that the centrist Democrats who flipped “appear to have recently graduated from the Susan Collins School of Fecklessness,” calling their compromise cowardly.

The outrage highlights a deepening divide within the Democratic coalition. While working-class Americans were left without SNAP benefits, paycheck protections, or travel security during the shutdown, far-left Hollywood voices prioritized political warfare over legislative progress. These same critics often advocate for the very social programs that were stalled by the shutdown—programs that resumed only after the bipartisan vote.

The irony wasn’t lost on many observers: liberal celebrities, living in luxury, are furious that Congress reached a deal to help the country’s most vulnerable. Meanwhile, Senate Democrats who supported the resolution pointed to the need to resume services and avoid further economic disruption.

Shocking Deal Ends Shutdown, Dems Flip Over ACA Showdown

Eight Democrats and independents joined Senate Republicans on Sunday to end the longest federal government shutdown in U.S. history after a deal was struck to secure a future vote on extending Affordable Care Act tax credits. The continuing resolution passed on its 15th attempt with a 60-40 vote, surpassing the filibuster threshold and moving the bill back to the U.S. House for final approval.

Among the key swing votes was Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., who flipped her vote in response to Republican concessions regarding the ACA. She joined fellow Democrats Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Tim Kaine of Virginia, and Dick Durbin of Illinois. Also supporting the resolution were Democrats Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, and independent Sen. Angus King of Maine.

The deal includes a guaranteed Senate vote on extending enhanced ACA premium tax credits, which are set to expire December 31. Without an extension, supporters warn that insurance premiums for millions of Americans would skyrocket. The agreement also reverses Trump administration layoffs triggered during the shutdown and prevents further layoffs while the continuing resolution is in effect.

Sen. Rosen cited these concessions as critical to her support: “The concession we’ve been able to extract to get closer to extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits is a vote on a bill drafted and negotiated by Senate Democrats.”

Rosen sharply criticized President Trump and Senate Republicans, accusing them of using the shutdown to “inflict unimaginable pain and suffering on working people,” including withholding SNAP benefits and disrupting the tourism industry through air travel delays.

Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, who voted for the resolution on all 15 attempts, echoed support for the ACA provisions while condemning the shutdown’s impact. “We must extend the ACA enhanced premium tax credits, but that can’t come at the expense of the millions of Americans impacted by a shutdown.”

With the resolution’s passage, Senate Democrats now seek to force a public vote that could put Republicans on record regarding their stance on Obamacare tax credits ahead of the upcoming election season.

Tesla Cybertruck Boss Quits, Another Shocking Exec Exit

Tesla’s head of the Cybertruck program, Siddhant Awasthi, has announced his departure after more than eight years with the electric vehicle maker, marking the latest high-profile exit from Elon Musk’s sprawling business empire. Awasthi played a critical role in steering the Cybertruck from concept to production and had recently taken over leadership of the Model 3 program.

Awasthi began at Tesla as an intern and rose through the ranks to oversee one of the company’s most ambitious projects. His responsibilities included product strategy, supply chain management, and quality improvements—essential functions for launching the long-delayed Cybertruck. In a farewell message posted on LinkedIn, Awasthi reflected on his time at Tesla, calling it an “honor” to bring the Cybertruck to life.

His resignation adds to a growing list of executive departures at Tesla and other Musk-led ventures. Over the past year, Tesla has lost key personnel from its U.S. sales team, battery operations, public affairs division, and IT department. Musk’s AI startup, xAI, has also been hit by internal turmoil, with its CFO, general counsel, co-founder, and chief engineer all exiting within weeks of one another.

The timing of Awasthi’s departure raises questions about the future of the Cybertruck, which has struggled to gain traction since its launch. Despite a boost in Tesla’s Q3 deliveries due to expiring federal tax credits, analysts expect a sharp sales drop in Q4. The Cybertruck has also faced mounting challenges—including sluggish sales, massive inventory discounts, and ten separate recalls in just two years.

Tesla disclosed that over 46,000 Cybertrucks had been produced between its November 2023 debut and early 2025. Yet, persistent quality issues and declining demand continue to plague the product’s rollout.

The ongoing talent drain could have long-term implications for Tesla’s operational stability and its competitive position in the EV market. With turnover affecting both cutting-edge programs like AI and flagship vehicles like the Cybertruck, questions are mounting over whether Elon Musk can maintain momentum while his companies face growing internal instability.

The Return of the Watchers: Fallen Angels in the Book of Enoch

The Book of Enoch is one of the most fascinating and controversial writings in ancient Jewish tradition. It isn’t dismissed because it’s false—but because it’s frighteningly vivid, unapologetically supernatural, and uncomfortably revealing. Written sometime between 300 and 100 BC, it claims to record the visions of Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. . .

Illinois Assisted Suicide Bill Sparks Backlash, Will Pritzker Veto?

The Chicago Tribune editorial board is calling on Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker to veto a controversial assisted suicide measure passed by state lawmakers on Halloween. The proposal, known as the End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act, would legalize physician-assisted suicide for terminally ill adults — a policy the editorial board warns could open dangerous ethical and cultural doors.

The bill allows Illinois residents 18 and older, diagnosed with a terminal disease and given six months or less to live, to request and self-administer lethal medication. It includes several procedural safeguards, such as two verbal requests made five days apart, physician oversight, informed consent, and evaluations to confirm mental competence. The legislation also protects healthcare providers who refuse participation and requires state data collection.

Governor Pritzker has 60 days from the bill’s passage to sign or veto it and has stated he remains undecided. If approved, Illinois would become the 12th U.S. jurisdiction — joining 11 states and Washington, D.C. — to permit assisted suicide.

In its editorial, the Tribune board warned that so-called safeguards could erode over time, citing California’s decision to shorten its mandatory waiting period from 15 days to 48 hours as a precedent. The board also highlighted concerns from disability-rights advocates who fear bias within the medical community. A Harvard study found more than 80 percent of physicians surveyed believed people with disabilities experience a lower quality of life, suggesting a troubling bias that could influence end-of-life decisions.

The board further argued that the bill could pressure vulnerable patients to choose death out of fear of burdening their families financially. “You can’t put a price tag on every moment you get with your loved ones,” the editorial stated.

The Tribune also pointed to international cautionary examples. In Canada, assisted dying now accounts for one in twenty deaths, after lawmakers removed the requirement that death be “reasonably foreseeable.” Similarly, in the Netherlands, cases like that of 29-year-old Zoraya ter Beek — who pursued euthanasia due to depression and autism — demonstrate how permissive laws can expand far beyond their original intent.

“Other nations show how swiftly a narrow exception can expand,” the editorial concluded. “Illinois should focus on easing pain, not authorizing physicians to hasten death.”

Whoopi Goldberg’s Explosive Trump Rant Leaves Viewers Stunned

During Monday’s broadcast of ABC’s “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg launched into a chaotic, profanity-filled tirade directed at President Donald Trump and his administration. The remarks, delivered on live television, included accusations that the administration is “insane,” labeling officials as “clowns” who don’t know “what the hell they’re doing.” The segment quickly drew criticism for its inflammatory tone and lack of coherent policy discussion.

Goldberg began her outburst by criticizing perceived federal inaction regarding hunger in America, dismissing concerns over federal spending. “We’re not out of money. We’re not that we run out of money. There’s money there,” she said, appearing to downplay budget limitations and deficit concerns.

She continued by shifting to international issues, pointing to suffering in Africa, referencing the Darfur genocide, and accusing the Trump administration of ignoring these global crises. “These clowns have not mentioned it once,” Goldberg said, before criticizing foreign policy decisions including aid to Argentina and tensions with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. “What the hell is going on in this country?” she shouted.

The conversation escalated when co-host Ana Navarro chimed in, likening President Trump to the Roman emperor Nero: “Donald Trump is Nero playing the fiddle while America burns.”

Goldberg responded, “America’s not going to burn. America is hot, but she’s not going to burn.” She then shifted to praising everyday Americans for helping their neighbors, suggesting citizens are compensating for what she considers federal government failure.

Goldberg concluded her monologue by acknowledging her lack of filter. “You know, I’m getting to the age. Where it’s just coming out now, I don’t care.”

The segment once again showcased the hyper-partisan nature of daytime television. Goldberg’s remarks mirrored the growing divide in media, where celebrity hosts increasingly use their platforms for political agitation rather than constructive dialogue.

Milei’s Shocking Invitation to New Yorkers

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA - NOVEMBER 19: Newly elected President of Argentina Javier Milei of La Libertad Avanza celebrates with his sister Karina Milei after the polls closed in the presidential runoff on November 19, 2023 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to official results, Javier Milei of La Libertad Avanza reached 55,69% of the votes and Sergio Massa of Union Por La Patria 44,30%, with 99,25 of the votes counted. Argentine President Javier Milei issued a pointed invitation this weekend to New Yorkers troubled by incoming Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s radical socialist platform, urging them to consider relocating to Argentina. Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) held at Mar-a-Lago, Milei promoted his country as a refuge for those seeking liberty and prosperity over collectivism.

Milei’s message directly addressed New Yorkers facing a dramatic political shift after Mamdani’s election. The newly elected mayor ran on a platform pledging free public transportation, government-operated grocery stores, and the dismantling of traditional policing in favor of a “Department of Community Safety.” Milei warned these policies mirror the same socialist agenda that led Argentina to economic ruin over the past century.

“I would like to dedicate these words especially to New Yorkers,” Milei said during his speech. “You will now live under a communist government. Know that if things get complicated, you will always be well received on our land if you seek to prosper.”

The Argentine president emphasized his country’s immigrant-welcoming history, referencing the national constitution’s commitment to provide liberty for “all the men of the world who want to — legally — live on Argentine soil.” He contrasted this legacy of freedom with what he described as the moral decay and economic consequences that follow socialist governance.

Milei noted that while he has reformed Argentina’s immigration system to reduce welfare abuse and limit automatic access to public benefits, the country still offers a path to citizenship after two years of legal residency. These policies, he argued, balance fiscal responsibility with Argentina’s historical openness to immigration.

In his remarks, Milei also critiqued what he called the “moral harm” caused by socialism, warning that it legitimizes the redistribution of wealth and drives productive citizens and capital away from jurisdictions that no longer respect private enterprise. He highlighted Argentina’s own recent shift away from socialism with his victory and the expansion of his libertarian coalition in the midterm elections.

Milei called on Americans not to be discouraged by local political results and referenced the failures of “Kirchnerism,” Argentina’s dominant leftist movement, as a cautionary example of what awaits cities that embrace collectivist ideologies.

The Argentine president concluded his appearance with a nod to the populist right, dancing to the Trump-era anthem “YMCA” after delivering a passionate defense of capitalism as both a moral and practical force for lifting people out of poverty.

Caught in the Act, Portland ICE Obstruction Incident

A leftist activist is under federal investigation after allegedly interfering with a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Portland, Oregon. The incident occurred as President Donald Trump’s administration intensified its crackdown on illegal alien crime, specifically targeting foreign gang-affiliated individuals.

ICE officers were conducting arrests in North Portland when the suspect, a woman, reportedly drove recklessly near the operation. According to The Post Millennial, she ran a red light, nearly collided with a school bus, and followed federal agents, at one point attempting to block their vehicles. A reporter embedded with the ICE team captured the incident on video from inside a federal vehicle.

When ICE pulled her over, the officer informed her she was impeding a federal investigation and had been recorded. The woman pleaded, “Don’t arrest me please. Give me a warning. I have kids… I’m just a mom.”

Homeland Security Investigations has opened a case into the matter. ICE Deputy Field Office Director Julio Hernandez stated the woman had endangered officers and received several warnings to leave the area before being stopped. He described her actions as a serious interference with federal duties.

Hernandez also pointed to a broader issue involving “spotters” — individuals using cars, horns, and other signals to warn illegal aliens of ICE presence. He noted this behavior is common among agitators in the Portland area who attempt to obstruct law enforcement operations.

Earlier in the day, the same woman was allegedly seen making obscene gestures toward ICE agents. This behavior is part of a wider pattern of hostility toward federal immigration enforcement agents. According to a July report by Breitbart News, assaults on ICE agents have surged nearly 700 percent since January, with left-wing protest groups increasingly confronting officers during enforcement actions.

Democratic officials including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and others have made inflammatory comparisons of ICE agents to Nazis. Jeffries recently stated that “every single one of them, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes will, of course, be identified,” directly referring to ICE personnel.

Despite growing hostility and political opposition, ICE continues to carry out its mandate to remove criminal aliens and secure communities.

Olympics Expected to Ban Trans Athletes

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is expected to ban transgender athletes from competing in female events.

The decision is likely to be made in February, according to a report from The Times. The report explained that the committee’s medical and scientific director, Dr. Jane Thornton, presented scientific findings to the committee, which showed “there were physical advantages to being born male that remained with athletes, including those who had taken treatment to reduce testosterone levels.”

Discussing the rumors of a forthcoming change, an IOC spokesperson told Fox News, “An update was given by the IOC’s Director of Health, Medicine and Science to the IOC Members last week during the IOC commission meetings. The working group is continuing its discussions on this topic and no decisions have been taken yet. Further information will be provided in due course.”

IOC President Kirsty Coventry suggested in June that the committee would assess protections for female sports. “We understand there will be differences depending on the sports. We should make the effort to place emphasis on the protection of the female category and we should ensure that this is done in consensus with all the stakeholders,” she said at the time. “But we need to do that with a scientific approach and the inclusion of the international federations who have already done a lot of work in this area.”

A United Nations report found that nearly 900 medals have been awarded to male athletes competing alongside biological women. “The replacement of the female sports category with a mixed-sex category has resulted in an increasing number of female athletes losing opportunities, including medals, when competing against males. According to information received, by 30 March 2024, over 600 female athletes in more than 400 competitions have lost more than 890 medals in 29 different sports,” the report explained.

Earlier this year, Republican lawmakers called for the IOC to preserve fair competition and protect female athletes. Writing to then-IOC President Thomas Bach, the Republicans asserted, “Allowing biological males to compete in women’s categories undermines competitive opportunities, safety, and respect for female athletes.”

JPMorgan Under Fire for Targeting Conservatives

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has launched an investigation into JPMorgan Chase after it was discovered to have participated in the Arctic Frost investigation under the Biden administration.

“I write to express grave concerns about the explosive revelations regarding the Biden Administration’s pursuit of its political adversaries, and JPMC’s ensuing actions in the shadow of this operation, codenamed ‘Arctic Frost,'” Uthmeier wrote in a letter to the company, as reported by the Daily Wire’s Mary Margaret Olohan. “In addition to spying on Republican Senators, the Biden Administration subpoenaed sensitive banking information from several Florida individuals, organizations, and business entities including Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG), a Florida corporation.”

“Almost immediately after the Biden DOJ’s fishing expedition began vis a vis TMTG, JPSC began questioning TMTG officials about, inter alia, its transactions from years prior. JPMC insisted this fact-gathering was merely ‘due diligence.’ These inquiries, however, appear to be pretextual and unrelated to their stated purpose. Immediately after TMTG closed a merger in March 2024, JPMC notified TMTG that it was closing its bank accounts,” the letter added, going on to assert that the “timing of this activity and JPMC’s termination of its business relationships with TMTG raise obvious, troubling questions.”

“This activity may implicate numerous Florida criminal and civil anti-fraud laws and de-banking prohibitions, as well as a breach of the basic, fundamental duties owed to your banking customers,” Uthmeier wrote.

The state attorney general shared in a video on X that the bank coordinated with former Special Counsel Jack Smith to de-bank the “Florida-based Trump Media Group, harming the company just before it went public.”

In August, President Trump signed an executive order vowing to uphold fair banking practices for all Americans.

“It is the policy of the United States that no American should be denied access to financial services because of their constitutionally or statutorily protected beliefs, affiliations, or political views, and to ensure that politicized or unlawful debanking is not used as a tool to inhibit such beliefs, affiliations, or political views,” the order declares. “Banking decisions must instead be made on the basis of individualized, objective, and risk-based analyses.”
