The FDA announced the first round of pharmaceuticals that will receive expedited reviews under the Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher (CNPV) pilot program.

The program accelerates the 10-12 month timeline of review by “convening a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists for a team-based review, interacting frequently with the sponsor to clarify questions, and completing review of the application concurrently,” the FDA explained. The team will meet for a one-day meeting upon completing review steps.

Recipients of the voucher program are products with “significant potential to address a major national priority, such as meeting a large unmet medical need, reducing downstream health care utilization, addressing a public health crisis, boosting domestic manufacturing, or increasing medication affordability with Most Favored Nation pricing.”

“One of our core goals is to deliver more cures and meaningful treatments—especially ones that have an outsized impact on our most pressing national priorities,” said FDA Commissioner Marty Makary. “We must modernize the review process and try new approaches to meet the needs of the American people.”

Products selected for the program include:

  • infertility drug Pergoveris
  • Type I diabetes drug Teplizumab
  • Cytisinicline for combatting nicotine vaping addiction
  • DB-OTO for deafness
  • Cenegermin-bkbj for blindness
  • RMC-6236 for treating pancreatic cancer
  • Bitopertin for porphyria
  • Ketamine for domestic manufacturing of a critical drug for general anesthesia
  • Augmentin XR for domestic manufacturing of a common antibiotic

The voucher program comes as President Trump hailed Pergoveris for in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. “This drug would directly compete against a much more expensive option that currently has a monopoly in the American market, and this will bring down costs very significantly,” Trump said during a news conference.

New Jersey Teens Pledge to “kill every last one” in Antisemitic Posts

A wave of antisemitic posts from four Manalapan High School students in New Jersey prompted an investigation after Snapchats shared weekend messages promising violence and Nazi-themed Halloween costumes. The exchanges, screenshots show, included “i da just realized the only people we actually don’t lol is jews,” followed by “kill every last one,” and references to gas chambers and “hitler type shiii.”

District officials moved swiftly. “We are aware of antisemitic posts that were made outside of school by some of our students in our school district. We are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and taking immediate, comprehensive, and decisive action,” Superintendent Nicole Hazel said in a statement. Law enforcement also received notice and the incident remains under active investigation.

Local leaders condemned the messages. Manalapan Mayor Eric Nelson wrote, “Antisemitism is not a joke. It is hate — plain and simple — and it has no place in our schools, our town, or anywhere in our society.” A parent in the heavily Jewish community called the posts “pretty despicable.” The district declined to confirm disciplinary specifics but said it follows policy and privacy rules in student matters.

School officials told reporters they will review surveillance and communications, work with police, and engage community partners to address hate and prevent escalation. The episode echoes wider concerns about social media’s role in amplifying extremist rhetoric among minors, officials warned, as Manalapan seeks accountability and steps to restore safety in its schools.

Letitia James Housing Scandal: AG Sheltered Criminal Relatives in Homes Under Federal Investigation

New York Attorney General Letitia James is again under fire — this time for a housing scandal — as reports reveal she’s been sheltering multiple criminal relatives at her Virginia homes, both of which have faced federal scrutiny.

According to court documents, James’ 21-year-old grand-niece, Cayla Thompson-Hairston — an OnlyFans model with a criminal record — was charged in April 2024 with lying on a gun purchase form in Suffolk, Virginia. She was “disqualified” from owning a firearm due to a 2020 felony charge of malicious wounding, though the case was later pleaded down to a misdemeanor.

Thompson-Hairston now lives in a James-owned home that was part of a Department of Justice criminal referral alleging the AG falsified mortgage documents. A second home, where Cayla’s aunt Nakia Thompson — a fugitive with a history of theft and larceny — resides, is also tied to an ongoing Letitia James housing scandal investigation.

Federal prosecutors accused James of “lying on her mortgage application” and using the “second home” designation to secure a better interest rate — a move they say netted her $19,000 in gains. James, who faces up to 60 years in prison if convicted, insists she did nothing wrong.

“That’s Letitia James,” said neighbor Jesse Middlebrook, adding, “I’ve never seen her here.”

Her attorney, Abbe Lowell — who also represents Hunter Biden — dismissed the charges as a politically motivated attack, calling them “a meritless, hypocritical salvo in President Trump’s revenge tour.”

Still, critics say the revelations expose troubling hypocrisy from New York’s top law enforcement officer, whose own homes are now at the center of federal criminal investigations.

Trump Reloads Legal Case Against NYT

President Trump’s team refiled its lawsuit against the New York Times after a federal judge ruled the initial filing was too long.

The 40-page lawsuit, originally 85 pages, centers on defamation allegations.

“These breaches of journalistic ethics are further proven by the Times’ enthusiastic aiding and abetting of the partisan effort to falsely link Russian interference to President Trump’s victory in the 2016 Presidential Election, which is well on its way to becoming one of the most profoundly disturbing criminal political scandals in American history,” the new filing says.

It adds that the Times “possessed public and non-public information and had access to information which they knew to be accurate and proved their reporting wrong.”

“However, consistent with their long-term pattern and modus operandi—lie about President Trump when the truth does not fit their far-left agenda—they deliberately ignored this information and instead published the malicious, false and defamatory Book and the Articles as ‘hit pieces’ calculated to severely harm President Trump and his reputation, as they have done for at least a decade,” the filing states.

In September, U.S. District Judge Steven Merryday tossed out President Trump’s $15 billion lawsuit against the publication, criticizing its length.

Merryday asserted that a complaint must be a “short, plain, direct statement of allegations of fact sufficient to create a facially plausible claim for relief and sufficient to permit the formulation of an informed response.” Instead of following these guidelines, Trump’s filing “stands unmistakably and inexcusably athwart the requirements of Rule 8. This action will begin, will continue, and will end in accord with the rules of procedure and in a professional and dignified manner.”

Florida Mom — Who Got Pregnant in Jail — Found Guilty of Murdering Father of Her Children

Florida mom Daisy Link, who made headlines for getting pregnant while behind bars, has been convicted of second-degree murder for killing the father of her children outside her Homestead home.

A Miami-Dade jury deliberated less than two hours before finding the 30-year-old guilty in the June 2022 shooting of Pedro Jimenez, her longtime partner and father of her two oldest kids. Surveillance video showed Link walking away after shooting Jimenez in the leg, mocking that she struck a “major artery.” He later bled to death.

During her trial, Link claimed she only intended to scare Jimenez. “That’s the father of my kids,” she testified. “It’s not like I didn’t love him, I did.” Prosecutors, however, argued the killing was intentional, with Assistant State Attorney Alex Bergida calling the pair’s relationship “toxic” and marked by mutual domestic violence.

Link’s defense attorney, Ayuban Thomas, portrayed Jimenez as the aggressor, telling jurors, “He wasn’t a good guy. He was a coke head, wife-beating lunatic.” Her 11-year-old son testified that he saw Jimenez attack his mother, saying, “He pointed the gun at my mom and he fired a shot but he missed. He was hitting her with the bottom of the gun.”

But jurors were not persuaded. “If he’s running away and she shot him in the back, doesn’t seem much like self-defense,” juror Kenan Bowie said after the verdict.

Link previously gained notoriety in 2023 after revealing she became pregnant in jail using semen smuggled from another inmate through a vent. She remains in custody awaiting sentencing.

Chinese USC Grad Student Charged With Drugging, Assaulting Multiple Women

A Chinese USC grad student has been charged with drugging and sexually assaulting several women over a three-year period, Los Angeles County prosecutors announced Wednesday. Sizhe “Steven” Weng, 30, faces eight felony counts, including forcible rape and sexual penetration by use of drugs, in a case authorities say may involve victims both in the U.S. and overseas.

Weng, a doctoral student at the University of Southern California, allegedly slipped incapacitating substances into victims’ food or drinks before attacking them between 2021 and 2024. Los Angeles police said they were first alerted to Weng in January by German authorities investigating similar assaults in Europe.

“Evidence was recovered at Weng’s residence that corroborated his involvement in drug-facilitated sexual assaults of multiple victims dating back to 2021 and continuing into 2025,” LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said.

Prosecutors have identified at least three victims but believe others may come forward. Weng pleaded not guilty and remains held without bail pending a January 2026 hearing. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years to life plus 56 additional years in prison and must register as a sex offender for life.

A USC spokesperson said the grad student has been “barred from campus” as the investigation continues. The district attorney’s office urged potential victims to contact LAPD detectives at 213-486-6890.

Florida Teacher Claims ‘Political Discrimination’ After Being Forced to Remove Charlie Kirk Poster

A Florida high school teacher says he was a victim of political discrimination after being ordered to remove a classroom poster featuring conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The teacher, William Loggans, told NBC affiliate WESH 2 that administrators at Horizon High School in Orange County made him take the poster down after a student complained — even though they admitted it wasn’t controversial.

“They admitted that the poster didn’t say anything controversial and was inspirational but that Charlie Kirk was a controversial political figure and that it would have to come down,” Loggans said. “I didn’t see anything political with it at all. It’s just an inspirational quote by Charlie Kirk.”

The poster displayed Kirk’s message: “Never underestimate the power of your voice and the impact you can have on the world when you speak up for what you believe in.”

Loggans, who teaches comprehensive law honors and economics, said his classroom includes inspirational quotes from figures like Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and Ronald Reagan. After being told to remove the Kirk poster, he hired attorney Anthony Sabatini and filed a grievance, alleging the district targeted him because Kirk was conservative.

Sabatini argued the school applied its neutrality policy inconsistently, pointing to another classroom with a Barack Obama poster still on display. The district denied bias, stating its decision followed state policy to maintain a “respectful, inclusive learning environment.”

Loggans said he plans to fight the decision and hopes to form a club modeled after Kirk’s conservative group, Turning Point USA, to promote free expression and civic engagement among students.

DHS Exposes Media Misreporting, Says Illegal Teen Gang Member Was a ‘Public Safety Threat’

The Department of Homeland Security is pushing back against mainstream media coverage of a 13-year-old illegal immigrant arrested by ICE — revealing that the Massachusetts teen was a public safety threat with a violent criminal record and suspected gang ties.

News outlets framed the story as an instance of ICE separating a child from his family. But DHS officials told Fox News Digital the boy, Brazilian national Arthur Yuri De Almeida Silva Berto, is a member of the “33” gang with 11 prior police complaints, including theft, assault, vandalism, and gang-related activity.

Berto was arrested Oct. 9 after a classmate reported that he showed her a concealed gun at school and threatened to “shoot and kill” another student, according to Everett Police. Officers later found him with a 5½-inch knife before contacting federal authorities. ICE took him into custody that day, citing his gang involvement and repeat criminal behavior.

Court documents show Berto entered the U.S. illegally with his family in September 2021 near San Luis, Arizona, and was released under the Biden administration. Since then, police have linked him to multiple incidents — including vehicle theft, “flash mob”-style shoplifting, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

“Here are the facts: This individual and suspected gang member posed a public safety threat with an extensive rap sheet,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, federal law enforcement is restoring common sense and law and order to our streets.”

John Bolton Surrenders to Authorities

Former White House National Security Advisor John Bolton surrendered to authorities on Friday following his indictment.

Bolton was seen leaving his Maryland home and entering the district courthouse in Greenbelt, NBC News reports.

“From on or about April 9, 2018, through at least on or about August 22, 2025, BOLTON abused his position as National Security Advisor by sharing more than a thousand pages of information about his day-to-day activities as the National Security Advisor — including information relating to the national defense which was classified up to the TOP SECRET/SCI level — with two unauthorized individuals, namely Individuals 1 and 2,” the indictment reads. “BOLTON also unlawfully retained documents, writings, and notes relating to the national defense, including information classified up to the TOP SECRET/SCI level, in his home in Montgomery County, Maryland.”

Responding to his indictment in a statement to the Associated Press, Bolton said, “Now, I have become the latest target in weaponizing the Justice Department to charge those he deems to be his enemies with charges that were declined before or distort the facts.”

Bolton’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, told the outlet that details in the case “were investigated and resolved years ago.”

“Like many public officials throughout history, Amb. Bolton kept diaries — that is not a crime. We look forward to proving once again that Amb. Bolton did not unlawfully share or store any information,” Lowell stated.

Bolton’s home was raided by federal authorities in August as part of a classified documents investigation.

President Trump issued an executive order earlier this year stripping Bolton and other former officials of security clearances.

“National security is also damaged by the publication of classified information. Former National Security Advisor John R. Bolton published a memoir for monetary gain after he was terminated from his White House position in 2019,” Trump’s January order read. “The book was rife with sensitive information drawn from his time in government. The memoir’s reckless treatment of sensitive information undermined the ability of future presidents to request and obtain candid advice on matters of national security from their staff. Publication also created a grave risk that classified material was publicly exposed.”

Exposed: ‘Radical Empathy’ Backlash Forces Iowa Democrat to Drop Senate Bid

Des Moines Public Schools Board Chair Jackie Norris ended her U.S. Senate campaign Thursday after facing mounting criticism over her call for radical empathy toward former superintendent Ian Andre Roberts — an illegal immigrant with a lengthy criminal record who led Iowa’s largest school district until his recent arrest.

Norris, a Democrat and former chief of staff to Michelle Obama, said she was withdrawing because the “superintendent crisis” demanded her full attention and had placed her “in the crosshairs of vicious and coordinated attacks.” She added that the turmoil “took time and oxygen away from the work I set out to do: stand up for our kids and families.”

Roberts resigned Sept. 30 following his arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement after a brief car chase. Agents reportedly found a gun, a hunting knife, and $3,000 in cash in his vehicle. Federal officials said Roberts had been deported in 2004, reentered the U.S. illegally, and was later charged with multiple weapon and reckless driving offenses.

Despite his criminal past and illegal status, Roberts somehow obtained active voter registration as a Democrat in Maryland. The school board also admitted it knew he had not graduated from Morgan State University as his résumé claimed when it hired him in 2023.

Republican Rep. Ashley Hinson called for Norris’s resignation, saying she “can’t even run the bare minimum of hiring standards.”

In her statement, Norris said the board is “bringing accountability — leading with grace, transparency, and resolve.”
