NATO is developing “land corridors” to place U.S. troops on the front line in Ukraine, according to a report from The Telegraph.
Americans would land at one of five ports and be sent to pre-planned routes to engage with Russia.
Some of the routes for American soldiers include the Netherlands, Germany, and the Baltics.
If these ports are closed in the event of warfare, troops would be sent through Italy, Turkey, and Greece.
“Everything is created in a way so the necessary resilience exists – robustness, reserves and also redundancies,” Lt. Gen. Alexander Sollfrank told the outlet.
The Biden administration recently suggested that it may allow Ukraine to use U.S. weapons to strike inside Russia.
“As the conditions have changed, as the battlefield has changed, as what Russia does has changed in terms of how it’s pursuing its aggression, escalation, we’ve adapted and adjusted too, and I’m confident we’ll continue to do that,” Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said.
