Nancy Pelosi’s Husband Attacked in San Francisco Home

Paul Pelosi was “violently assaulted” by a suspect who broke into the couple’s San Francisco home.

  • “The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation,” Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammil said in a statement.
  • Pelosi “was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery. The Speaker was not in San Francisco at the time,” Hammill continued.
  • The suspect used a hammer in the attack, and “the motivation for the attack is still under investigation,” according to The U.S. Capitol Police who are assisting the case.

“The Speaker and her family are grateful to the first responders and medical professionals involved, and request privacy at this time,” Hammill said.

  • According to Fox News, the assault is not the first time the Pelosi’s San Francisco property has been targeted.
  • Photos surfaced on social media and TMZ in 2021 revealing graffiti on a garage door at the home of the Democratic leader. 
  • San Franciscans have been grappling with burglaries and open-air drug markets in recent months, while the city’s increasing homeless population is believed to have exacerbated the issue, American Faith reported.
