Millions of Floridians are without power in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton.
According to poweroutage.us, more than 3.3 million people are without power.
Governor Ron DeSantis (R) wrote on X that “635,996 accounts have already been restored as of 6:00 AM” on Thursday morning.
“More than 50,000 linemen are in Florida and working to restore power as efficiently and safely as possible,” he wrote. “As you are surveying damage and cleaning up your property, be cautious of hazards like downed power lines and operate generators a safe distance from your house.”
There are currently four confirmed deaths in St. Lucie County, WCVB reported. The deaths have been attributed to tornadoes touching down in the area.
The hurricane was downgraded to a Category 2 storm on Wednesday night before being downgraded again to a Category 1 hurricane early Thursday.
