Mike Waltz Expected to Exit Trump Admin

National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and other staffers are reportedly out of the Trump administration, sources familiar with the matter told Fox News.

Waltz and his deputy, Alex Wong, have left the administration, while other staffers are also expected to be removed, the sources said. The exits come as Waltz has faced condemnation for the Signal group chat leaks.

Walz said in March that he takes “full responsibility” for the inclusion of the Atlantic magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg on a thread involving strikes against Yemen. “I take full responsibility. I built the group,” he said on “The Ingraham Angle.”

“It’s embarrassing. We’re going to get to the bottom of it.”

At the time of the Signal chat leak, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “As the president has made it very clear, Mike Waltz continues to be an important part of his national security team. And this case has been closed here at the White House, as far as we are concerned.”

Leavitt said earlier this week that the administration will not “respond to reporting from anonymous sources.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries also addressed reports of the official’s removal from the administration, saying, “The National Security Advisor Waltz is out. He’s the first. He certainly won’t be the last.”

Upon appointing Waltz for the role in November, Trump wrote on Truth Social that he “has been a strong champion of my America First Foreign Policy agenda, and will be a tremendous champion of our pursuit of Peace through Strength!”
