Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei vowed to “put an end to the United States’ mischief” and warned of a possible regional war during a series of online posts marking the anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.
Over a 36-hour period, Khamenei published a barrage of messages on X in what appeared to be a coordinated propaganda campaign targeting the United States, Israel, and domestic opposition. The posts intensified his long-running narrative against Western influence and internal dissent.
In multiple statements, Khamenei issued direct threats toward the U.S., warning that any escalation could lead to widespread conflict.
“This time it will be a regional war,” he wrote.
He dismissed American military pressure, mocking U.S. warnings about deploying warships and aircraft.
“That Americans sometimes talk about war is nothing new,” he said. “They shouldn’t try to intimidate the Iranian nation with such things.”
Khamenei also promised “a decisive blow” against anyone he said threatened Iran and pledged to remain on the offensive against Washington.
He claimed the United States seeks to dominate Iran and exploit its resources.
“The United States wants to devour Iran,” he wrote. “The Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic prevent this.”
Khamenei alleged that Washington aims to reclaim control over Iran’s oil, gas, and mineral wealth, arguing that the Islamic regime has “liberated” those resources since the 1979 revolution.
“Iran possesses numerous attractions: Its oil, gas, rich minerals, and geographic location,” he wrote. “The U.S. wants to seize control of this country.”
The supreme leader also portrayed recent anti-regime protests as a foreign-backed coup attempt. He accused the Central Intelligence Agency and the Mossad of orchestrating unrest.
“The recent sedition was orchestrated by Zionists and the U.S.,” he claimed. “The CIA and Mossad deployed all of their resources.”
Khamenei insisted the protests were part of a long-term campaign by Iran’s enemies and vowed that the regime would prevail.
“The recent sedition wasn’t the first nor will it be the last,” he wrote. “We will reach the point where the enemy is left hopeless.”
He further accused President Donald Trump of encouraging unrest by expressing support for demonstrators.
Khamenei praised Iran’s crackdown on protesters, crediting security forces and civilians with suppressing what he described as an engineered uprising.
“It was the people themselves who trampled the fire of sedition into ashes,” he wrote.
In one of his most inflammatory remarks, Khamenei compared protesters to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
“Like ISIS, the seditionists in Iran burned people alive,” he claimed. “They beheaded people.”
He also blamed the United States for the rise of ISIS, repeating past accusations that Washington created the terrorist group.
The statements come as Iran continues mass arrests aimed at crushing renewed nationwide protests. U.S. intelligence assessments have reportedly described the regime’s grip on power as historically weak following recent internal unrest and regional strikes.
On Sunday, Iranian lawmakers were seen chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” while wearing uniforms associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during a parliamentary session.
The display was widely viewed as a show of loyalty to the IRGC, which is designated as a terrorist organization by the United States.
Khamenei’s remarks signal a sharp escalation in rhetoric as Tehran seeks to project strength, dismiss U.S. influence, and frame internal opposition as foreign-controlled amid growing domestic and international pressure.
