Jesse Watters Slams Biden’s Apology to Laken Riley’s Killer, Questions Immigration Stance

Fox News host Jesse Watters criticized President Biden on Monday for his 2024 campaign stance and his statement expressing regret over referring to the killer of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley as “illegal.” According to Watters, Biden’s remorse for using the term “illegal” stems from his fear of being implicated in the act of inviting and protecting undocumented immigrants in the United States.

Watters stated, “This is the tale of two campaigns. One is electric, the other staged. One man cares, the other pretends to and should probably write Georgia off after the Laken Riley murder.” He contrasted former President Donald Trump’s compassionate interaction with Riley’s family backstage before his speech, where he offered condolences and held the president accountable for her death.

Conversely, Watters criticized Biden for misidentifying Riley and failing to reach out to her family to apologize. Instead, Biden expressed regret to the perpetrator of the crime, which Watters characterized as disrespectful to Riley’s memory and her grieving loved ones.

“Biden regrets disrespecting an illegal who killed an American,” Watters remarked. “He didn’t apologize to Laken’s family, for letting the killer into the country or for getting her name wrong. He apologized to her killer, for getting his name right.”

Watters underscored the legal status of undocumented immigrants, equating their unlawful entry into the country to criminal behavior. He argued that Biden’s reluctance to use the term “illegal” reflects his complicity in the act of welcoming and shielding them from deportation, which could facilitate amnesty efforts.

Despite criticism, Watters suggested that Biden’s apology to a migrant murderer during an election year could backfire politically, with implications for his administration’s immigration policies. He highlighted the denial from the White House regarding the nature of Biden’s apology, suggesting that the administration is aware of the political ramifications but chooses to downplay them.
