Jason Kelce’s Property Expansion Approved Amid Neighbor Concerns

Former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce has received approval from the Haverford Township zoning board to expand his property, despite objections from neighbors concerned about potential flooding. Kelce plans to construct a fourth home and install a security fence on his 10-acre estate in Haverford, Pennsylvania, to accommodate his growing family and address security needs.

Kelce, who retired from the NFL in 2023, has been assembling this expansive property since 2018, purchasing three adjacent homes totaling approximately $6 million. The proposed expansion includes leveling certain sloped areas, which neighbors fear could increase water runoff and lead to flooding in the community.

At a zoning board meeting on February 20, Kelce addressed these concerns, emphasizing his commitment to the area’s aesthetic and the necessity of the fence for his family’s security.

He stated, “We want to be in this area, we like this area a lot. Obviously, things for my family are quite unique with the security purposes. We’d like to just deter a little bit of the foot traffic coming in and out of the home.”

The board granted approval for Kelce’s plans, contingent upon implementing effective stormwater management measures to mitigate potential flooding risks. This decision allows Kelce to proceed with his development while addressing the environmental concerns raised by his neighbors.
