Israel to Honor Charlie Kirk

Israel is expected to honor slain Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at the International Conference on Combating Antisemitism. The Associated Press reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office made the announcement this week.

Following Kirk’s assassination, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the conservative Christian a “steadfast friend of Israel and a true ally of the Jewish people” who “stood proudly for the Judeo-Christian values that bind Israel and America.”

“Charlie’s fearless commitment to truth and freedom cost him his life. Violence may have taken him, but it cannot silence his legacy. May his memory be a blessing,” the statement read.

Netanyahu said Kirk was “murdered for speaking truth and defending freedom,” calling him a “lion-hearted friend of Israel” who “fought the lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilization.”

“I spoke to him only two weeks ago and invited him to Israel. Sadly, that visit will not take place,” he continued. “We lost an incredible human being. His boundless pride in America and his valiant belief in free speech will leave a lasting impact. Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.”

Kirk was the top trending Google search for 2025, Google announced in December. Kirk also topped the list for searches relating to those who passed away, followed by Gene Hackman, Ozzy Osbourne, Anne Burrell, and Diane Keaton. Furthermore, Kirk was listed in Google’s trending news searches. That list involved the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” the government shutdown, Kirk’s assassination, tariffs, and the No Kings protests.

Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, was listed among Google’s top trending people.
