Israel Defense Force Rescues Two Hostages Held By Hamas

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) rescued two hostages being held by Hamas in Rafah.

Fernando Marman, 60, and Louis Har, 70, now rescued, were kidnapped on October 7.

According to Israel National News, the Sheba Hospital said, “This morning, two Israeli hostages who were freed by our forces from the Gaza Strip arrived at the Sheba Medical Center. After an initial medical examination, the condition of the two was determined to be good and they are now staying in a designated compound.”

The outlet explained that IDF soldiers and members of the Shin Bet security agency arrived at the location in Rafah around 1 a.m. and “carried out a very complex operation on a building complex.”

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari noted that “reaching the target in the heart of Rafah was very complex,” the Times of Israel reported.

“The troops pulled Louis and Fernando out of the apartment and rescued them under fire, until they reached the safe zone,” Hagari added.

One IDF soldier was injured in the operation.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the mission as “among the most successful rescue operations” in the history of Israel.
