Iranian Factory Reportedly Linked to Nuclear Program Goes Up in Flames

A fire broke out at a factory believed to be associated to Iran’s nuclear program.

According to intelligence research center Intelli Times, the fire “consumed two metal factories that were engaged in the production of chips for parts of centrifuges and valves that can be used by Iran’s nuclear industry.”

One of the companies affected by the fire “provides engineering design and engraving services for the production of centrifugal compressors and valves,” Intelli Times reported, adding that another company produces valves and pipes used in the gas industry.

Some believe the factory was sabotaged.

In 2020, Israel destroyed a secret Iranian nuclear facility, an event that was covered up by Iran.

The operation was made public after documents surrounding the matter were obtained by a hacker group, according to Iran International.

Following the destruction of the facility, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said they had “no information about this location.”
