Iran Reviews Peace Proposal

A spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Iran is reviewing a U.S. plan to end the conflict, reports indicate. According to the Associated Press, the review follows President Trump’s threat to bomb the country unless peace developments are made.

“Assuming Iran agrees to give what has been agreed to, which is, perhaps, a big assumption, the already legendary Epic Fury will be at an end, and the highly effective Blockade will allow the Hormuz Strait to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran,” Trump wrote on Truth Social this week. “If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Pakistan said it expects a deal to be made soon. “We expect an agreement sooner rather than later,” said Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi. “We hope the parties will reach a peaceful and sustainable solution that will contribute not only to peace in our region but to international peace as well.”

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has spoken publicly about meeting with Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. “I had the honor of meeting the dear leader,” Pezeshkian said. “We spoke with him for nearly two and a half hours. First of all, I should tell you that his views and the way he interacted were truly sincere and humble.” He added, “For a leader to treat someone in such a manner, he truly had such a demeanor.”

Last week, Iran offered a new peace proposal that was quickly rejected by President Trump.
