Democrats Continue Calling Trump a ‘Threat’

Several House Democrats declared they would continue calling former President Donald Trump a “threat” despite calls to change their rhetoric.

When asked by Fox Business correspondent Hillary Vaughn if it is “time for Democrats to stop calling Trump a threat to democracy,” Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) said, “No, the fact of the matter is that he is a threat to democracy.”

Rep. Pramilla Jayapal (D-WA) similarly said, “No, I think we should be clear that he is a threat to democracy.”

When asked if “rhetoric needs to be toned down,” Jayapal emphasized that she believes Trump’s rhetoric “should be toned down.”

“Listen, these are the facts; he is a threat,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) stated. “Period. Point blank.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also called Trump a “threat” following the second attempt on his life.

Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Peter Doocy asked, “How many more assassination attempts on Donald Trump until the president, the vice president, and you pick a different word to describe Trump other than ‘threat’?”

Jean-Pierre said she disagreed with the “premise” of the question and said it was “incredibly dangerous.”
