Harvard Reverses Suspension of Anti-Israel Student Protesters

The Harvard College Administrative Board reversed its suspension of five students who participated in pro-Palestine protests.

According to the Harvard Crimson, the “most severe probation charge will last for just one semester, a remarkable change from the initial punishments which required at least one student to withdraw from the College for three semesters.”

The Harvard Jewish Alumni Alliance responded to the decision, writing, “Harvard failed. Harvard failed its Jewish students. It failed its own rules.”

“Harvard reinstated those who bullied Jews for being Jews. It reversed discipline for those who celebrated the prospect of ethnically cleansing Jews from our homeland.”

“Now they’re vowing to escalate,” the group added, referring to a video of a formerly suspended student saying, “When I rejoin my peers in the fall, we must understand that our movement is working, that our momentum is growing, and that Palestine will be free from the river to the sea.”
