Harris Copied Policies from Biden Campaign

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign platform took policies from the Biden campaign.

Several parts of the new “issues” page are directly copied and pasted.

According to a report from The New Republic, the source code from the page encourages voters to support Joe Biden. The outlet explained that the “language was visible when links to the campaign site were shared, and in the website’s description on Google searches.”

One X user drew attention to the copied and pasted code, revealing that the webpage explicitly read, “Join our campaign to re-elect Joe Biden today!” The user wrote, in part, “[T]his description metadata is what search engines display,” and shared an image of the issue. In an update to the situation, the same user highlighted that the “exhortation to re-elect Joe Biden” was removed.

While the code has since been changed, The New Republic noted that the content still created the “impression that at least some of the Harris campaign’s policy language was copied and pasted from Biden’s documents.”

“That would be an embarrassing miscue from the Harris campaign, which partly came into being because of a perception that a refresh was needed to garner enthusiasm in the Democratic Party,” the outlet explained.

Turning Point USA founder and conservative activist Charlie Kirk commented on the matter on X, writing, “Source code from Kamala’s ‘newly’ released policy page reveals it was copied and pasted directly from Biden’s campaign page!”

“Kamala wants you to think she’s an outsider, but she’s been in power for four years, and Democrats for 12 of the last 16 years,” he wrote, adding, “Kamala is more of the same, just more radical.”
