Google Co-Hosting ‘Social Hour’ for Activists Resisting ‘Republican Agenda’

Google is co-hosting a “social hour” for left-wing activists that will focus on how to “resist the Republican agenda.”

Priorities USA, a Democratic super PAC, is leading the summit, according to an invitation obtained by The Washington Free Beacon.

“Recognizing that there is still a lot of data to be collected and analysis to be done, we hope that you will join our 2024 Digital Retrospective during which we will discuss what was done online this cycle and how we can prepare to resist the Republican agenda,” the email invitation read. “This is just an initial conversation, we will be in touch in the coming weeks and months with information to join additional deeper dive conversations, briefings, and planning meetings.”

“For those in DC, we hope that you will also join us for a social hour co-hosted by our friends at Google,” the invite added.

The invite email then closed with a quote from Vice President Kamala Harris: “This is not a time to throw up our hands. This is a time to roll up our sleeves.”

A Google spokesman told the Free Beacon that while it will participate in the happy hour, it will not partake in the “digital retrospective” event.

“We did not participate in creating the content of the meeting,” the spokesman said. “As they do for large ad buyers on both sides of the aisle, our political sales team will host some drinks after it.”

Priorities USA spent roughly $75 million during the 2024 election cycle on “digital “communications, research and infrastructure,” according to Influence Watch. Where some of the $75 million was dedicated to re-electing President Joe Biden, millions were also spent on other Democratic campaigns.
