General Flynn Exposes ‘Secret’ U.S. Government, Warns Americans Freedom Is Under Attack

Retired Army General Michael Flynn warned Americans this week their freedoms are in danger because of a “secret” United States agency operating in the shadows.

  • Warning Americans their freedoms are at stake, former Army Gen. Michael Flynn posted a five-series tweet attacking the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court system.
  • According to its website, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court is the judicial arm that oversees surveillance of American intelligence when relating to American citizens in the U.S.
  • The branch came to be known during the investigation of the 2016 presidential campaign of Donald Trump.
  • “In the coming months, among other serious problems (& there are many), we are going to learn the FISC has become a parallel Supreme Court but operates in almost total secrecy,” Flynn wrote.
  • Flynn reflected on former Democratic Sen. Frank Church, chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Activities who sparked reform in the 1970s of America’s intelligence agencies.
  • Known as the “Church Committee,” the group uncovered revelations of the government spying on Americans at the time.
  • “Church was right then and his words are exponentially more on point in 2023. Advances in technology, growth of a federal bureaucracy & deep-seated corruption across the federal government has only expanded the government’s ability to destroy American’s 4th Amendment rights,” wrote Flynn.
  • “Now is the time to form another ‘Church-like’ committee to enact serious reforms & either disband the agencies or demand full compliance & accountability from an increasingly rogue security state ‘shadow government,'” the retired General continued.
  • In May 2022, Flynn warned the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice that he was filing a lawsuit against the agencies seeking $50 million in damages for “malicious prosecution” related to the discredited Russia collusion crusade.
  • “I have gone back into the Department of Justice to let them know, to put them on notice, that I am going to sue these people — I don’t give a crap about the money … to let them know I’m not going to sit on my laurels, and do ‘woe is me,’ and wring my hands. That we are going to go after these people. And we actually filed, very quietly, an intention to sue the Department of Justice, all of these people, from Jim Comey up to President Obama,” the he said at the time.
  • “Of all of President Trump’s appointees, the Obama White House hated Flynn the most,” the general’s filing stated as it laid out a very long list of irregularities in the case the DOJ pushed against him.
  • Flynn’s filing added that the DOJ’s case is fraught with the failed investigation by the FBI that was goaded by political motivations, not a search for the truth or justice.

“There is no more pernicious threat to a free society than a secret police…operating beyond the law…if these abuses had not been uncovered and had the agencies gone unchecked, we might well have seen a secret police develop in the United States. Once that begins… The Constitution itself is in very real danger,” Flynn said.

  • Flynn’s warnings come as members of the Alabama Republican Party call for the removal of Ronna Romney McDaniel as the RNC Chair, signifying a larger trend of distrust in the U.S. political system. “The Alabama Republican Party leadership is committed to representing our grassroots members, and defending the core conservative values that the people of Alabama stand for,” the Alabama Republican Party said in a statement. According to the group, there is “no confidence” in Romney McDaniel after her electoral failures under her watch.
  • A new Gallup poll released today revealed fewer than 1 in 10 Americans believe members of Congress have high ethical standards. The poll found the rating puts lawmakers behind car salesmen and only slightly above telemarketers in fairness and honesty.
