Gabbard Shares Health Update for Husband

Former National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard shared a health update for her husband, Abraham, describing that his cancer is a “very very rare, one in a million type of cancer.”

In a video shared on social media, Gabbard revealed that her husband successfully underwent an invasive surgery.

“Even as Abraham’s recovery continues, we’re going to have to keep a very close eye on this. He’ll have to continue to get frequent MRIs to keep an eye on whether or not this cancer is coming back, either in the same place or in other parts of his body,” she said in the video. “We are so grateful to God for His unconditional love, for being our shelter, for being our peace and our strength.”

Gabbard announced in May that she would be resigning from her position in the Trump administration. “Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026,” she wrote in a letter to President Trump. “My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.”

“I am fully committed to ensuring a smooth and thorough transition over the coming weeks so that you and your team experience no disruption in leadership or momentum,” she added. “Thank you for your understanding during this deeply personal and difficult time for our family. I will remain forever grateful to you and to the American people for the profound honor of serving our nation as DNI.”
