Freemason ‘Secret Society’ Overwhelmed by Transgenderism

The world’s oldest all-male secret society, the Freemasons, are having difficulties with transgenderism ideology overtaking their ranks.

QUICK FACTS:
  • The Freemasons, an all-male secret society, has reportedly been struggling to deal with the transgender movement infiltrating their ranks over the past several years.
  • In 2018, the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE), considered by Masons to be the top lodge, announced that it would allow biological women membership or be eligible for membership if they were transitioning to a man.
  • “Now that all of these English lodges have been forced to allow females in and the mother Grand Lodge of the world is now being required by its own country’s Supreme Court to force all of its own members to break their oath and let females in,” a prominent central Texas Mason said. “America and every other Grand Lodge is now stuck in a gray area, and we don’t know what’s going to happen.”
  • According to the Masons, consequences for not following the directives of England’s Grand Lodge can be severe.
  • Chapters deemed “illegitimate” can be banned from Masonic charities, dorms on college campuses, and events, and can even be removed as a recognized group.
  • Texas Freemasonry is experiencing a drastic demographic shift as the older and more conservative members are aging out, as younger, more liberal men replace them.
  • “The idea of gay Masons and transgender Masons is causing consternation and divisive issues and a lot of that comes from the diversity within the fraternity as far as religious and political beliefs,” a Houston-area Mason said.
LONGTIME MASON FROM HOUSTON ON TEXAS ALLOWING MORE TRANSGENDER INDIVIDUALS INTO THE ALL-MALE SOCIETY:

“The problem is lots and lots of lodges in Texas have been admitting transgender people, very visibly,” the Mason said. “One lodge has several visibly transgender people, these are people who either already took the oath as a guy and then changed or took the oaths saying that they were nonbinary, gender fluid, or something … and this is considered a big provocation.”

BACKGROUND:
  • In September 2018, members of the Freemasons vowed to quit the secret society if biologically female members were allowed to stay.
  • “It’s so far free from feminism and gender politics, a place where good men can gather and meet without having to tiptoe on egg shells, worried about social justice warriors, feminists or LGBTI police saying they are offended,” one member said at the time.
  • Freemasonry, known for its secret handshakes and ancient rituals, has 6 million members across the world.
  • Society officials have said that expelling masons for transitioning would be “unlawful discrimination” and that gender reassignment should be treated with “compassion and sensitivity.”
