Four Individuals Detained in Chicago Robbery Case Involving Strangulation

Chicago police have arrested and charged four individuals believed to be illegal immigrants with battery by strangulation and robbery after an incident on the Pink rail line. The condition of the 49-year-old victim remains uncertain.

Identified as Fernando Loyo-Rodriguez, 22, Wilker Gutierrez Sierra, 21, Carlos Carreno-Carreno, 20, and Yonnier Guasamucare Garcia, 18, the suspects reside at an illegal immigrant shelter in the 300 block of South Plymouth, as reported by CWB Chicago.

Allegedly, the four individuals assaulted and robbed the 49-year-old male near Kostner station during Saturday afternoon.

Police apprehended the suspects at Pulaski station approximately 45 minutes after the incident occurred, at 5:28 p.m. local time.

Further details regarding the charges against the four defendants are expected to be disclosed during proceedings at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on Monday afternoon.
