Former White House physician, Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), provided an update on Donald Trump’s gunshot wound.
In a memo for the “concerned citizens of the United States,” Jackson announced that Trump is “rapidly recovering.”
“As the former Physician to the President for Donald J. Trump, I have continued to monitor his health and well-being, along with his primary care physician, since the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania on the evening of July 13,” he wrote.
“During the Congressional Hearing two days ago, FBI Director Christopher Wray suggested that it could be a bullet, shrapnel, or glass. There is absolutely no evidence that it was anything other than a bullet,” Jackson added. “Congress should correct the record as confirmed by both the hospital and myself. Director Wray is wrong and inappropriate to suggest anything else.”
“I want to reassure the American people and the rest of the world, that President Trump is doing extremely well. He is rapidly recovering from the gunshot wound to his right ear,” the representative stated. “I will continue to be available to assist President Trump and his personal physician in any way they see fit and will provide updates as necessary and with the permission of President Trump.”
FBI Director Christopher Wray was widely criticized after he questioned whether or not Trump was hit by a bullet. He said during a Congressional hearing, “With respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear.”
Trump reacted to the statement on Truth Social: “FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress yesterday that he wasn’t sure if I was hit by shrapnel, glass, or a bullet (the FBI never even checked!), but he was sure that Crooked Joe Biden was physically and cognitively ‘uneventful’ – Wrong! That’s why he knows nothing about the terrorists and other criminals pouring into our Country at record levels.”
“His only focus is destroying J6 Patriots, Raiding Mar-a-Lago, and saving Radical Left Lunatics, like the ones now in D.C. burning American flags and spray painting over our great National Monuments – with zero retribution,” Trump wrote. “No, it was, unfortunately, a bullet that hit my ear, and hit it hard. There was no glass, there was no shrapnel. The hospital called it a ‘bullet wound to the ear,’ and that is what it was. No wonder the once storied FBI has lost the confidence of America!”
