FBI Investigating Seattle Protest Against Christians

The FBI is investigating a protest against Christians at a Seattle park.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino wrote on X that the bureau has requested that its team “fully investigate allegations of targeted violence against religious groups at the Seattle concert.
Freedom of religion isn’t a suggestion.”

The White House Faith Office has also condemned the weekend rally’s disruption.

“The White House Faith Office condemns the violent disruption of Seattle’s MayDay USA worship event,” the office’s head, Paula White-Cain said. “We affirm the fundamental rights to free speech and religious freedom for all Americans, as protected by federal law. Public officials must protect the inalienable rights of all citizens, regardless of their faith or religious beliefs.”

“We urge the City of Seattle to uphold these rights at all faith-based events, safeguarding the ability of people of faith to gather and express their beliefs without fear of harassment or violence,” she added.

Following calls for his resignation, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell declared, “We will not be intimidated by the kind of fear mongering or divisiveness inspired by the rally and extreme rhetoric that takes aim at our residence and Seattle’s second black and first biracial mayor.”

Twenty-three people were arrested at Cal Anderson Park during MayDayUSA’s “Don’t Mess With Our Kids” event, where attendees were met with leftist protesters.

MayDayUSA released a statement on the protest, saying, “We remind this city, our state, and our nation that our land was founded on liberty. The First Amendment guarantees us the freedom to speak, gather, and worship, and the Fourteenth Amendment ensures that local government officials cannot violate the religious liberties enshrined in the First.”

The statement added that “Jesus Christ is King over King County and all of the earth. His Word is Truth. His Kingdom is coming. And we, His people, will stand brave in this hour.”
