Tim Allen Says Reading Bible is ‘Amazing’

Tim Allen, the beloved actor and comedian, recently shared with his X number of followers an update about embarking on a personal spiritual journey. He revealed that for the first time in his life, he has dedicated himself to fully read the Bible.

“Never took the time in all my years to ever read and really read the Bible. Currently almost through the Jerusalem Bible Old Testament and almost done with the Prophets. Next up to New Testament. So far amazing and not at all what I was expecting,” Allen shared.

Tim Allen has previously opened up about thoughts toward Christianity. In a 2022 interview with The Wrap, he discussed maintaining Christ as the focal point of his “Santa Clauses” series for Disney+, emphasizing the religious essence of Christmas.

He recounted his insistence on preserving the holiday’s spiritual significance amidst the influence of other mythical figures, underlining his intent by stating, “It originally had a lot of otherworldly characters, and ghosts, and goblins. I said no, this is Christ-mas. It’s Christ-mas. It literally is a religious holiday.”

Allen’s journey towards faith was not without its trials. Following the tragic death of his father, who was killed by a drunk driver when Allen was just 11, he experienced a protracted period of skepticism and cynicism towards religion.

Despite his struggles, he found a personal way to connect with his spirituality, referring to God as “The Builder.” “I always do ask…The Builder, what did you want me to do?” Allen recounted. His reflection on existence and purpose led him to conclude the significance of a greater design behind life, affirming, “Whoever built me, this is too much, too weird that it happened by accident. It didn’t happen by accident.”
