Evangelist on Mission for Revival at Southern Border

Texas evangelist Tony Suarez announced that he will hold a series of revival meetings near the U.S. southern border.

The meetings will take place in El Paso, Texas, from March 21-23, and in McAllen, Texas, from March 27-29.

Revival on the Border is described as a “tent revival.”

“The ONLY answer to the issues plaguing our southern border is JESUS!” the website reads.

“What I’m contending for is that the answer to everything from border security to the human issue is Jesus Christ,” Suarez told CBN News. “And, if Washington won’t act, then the kingdom must act, and, so, that’s why we’re going to the border.”

Suarez is the latest evangelist to hold Christian events along the southern border. Last month, Reverend Franklin Graham launched a 1,500-mile tour of the southern border.

“We are coming to the southern border because it is one of the neediest areas of our country at this time, and people need to hear a message of hope,” Graham told Fox News Digital.

“Everyone along the border is overwhelmed — the churches, the law enforcement agencies, the residents, those there trying to help, as well as the people coming into our country,” he said. “There are a lot of hungry hearts and hurting people, so I’m coming to the border to tell everyone about God’s Son, Jesus Christ, and how He can make a difference in our lives if we put our faith and our trust in Him.”

As Graham’s “God Loves You Frontera Tour” kicked off, he met with Donald Trump, who was also visiting the southern border.

“Look who I ran into at the border today! Donald J. Trump was a great encouragement to many here,” Graham wrote on social media.

Other photos emerged of the Graham and Trump praying.
